  1. Thanks all. The roof is Tamiya Light Gun Metal. Its the light reflection that gives it a red tint. I kind of like it The Red body is Tamiya Ferrari red.
  2. haha. I know what you mean, i have lots of 1:1 reference material here as well
  3. Bankruptcy isn't as much fun as it sounds. lol He's mine now
  4. Its my first Ferrari so it had to be red. Build from Revell of Germany kit. Beautiful kit, all parts kit amazing. Box stock accept for some engine wiring and Aluminum drive shaft and axles (that cant be seen). All comments welcome. I have a green one in the works as well so i want it to come out even better. Thank you to everybody on this site for some amazing tips, trick and inspiration. Remember kids "Never drink and scale model" Cheers
  5. This is my first attempt at rusting and making a beat up model. Just started this yesterday. Working on the body and bed first. I plan on adding a proper hitch and making a trailer to haul my Ferrari 599 GTO Still in the minor stages, but if you have tips/advise on better rusting. Please post up. Critique comments always welcome Using this weathering kit I wanted a spray in bed liner. Model Master Fabric spray has a great texture for this. I only had gray, so i then sprayed over it in F Black. The Aluminum bars are the beginnings of a tire rack. A little "bondo" on the fender for realizum Rust is eating this thing away Thanks for looking Cheers
  6. working on 2 599 GTO's and an R8. The green one is on hold while i await a new hood. All kits are Revel of Germany Interior will be like this (i hope)
  7. The original kit was a bit better. Plastic was a bit better and stronger. Decals suck though Very nice kits to work on though
  8. Thanks again for all the compliments. This was my first attempt at weathering anything. I was very happy with the way the engine/engine bay turned out. Not happy with the exhaust on the black one. Sometimes less is more and i over did it Cheers, Chris
  9. Yeah I know I'm kinda slow sometimes. Lol. Never drink and build models:) Thanks all for the compliments
  10. Thanks, Built a teal and red one years ago. Just don't like the teal colour that much. I've had the red kit sitting in a box since 98 when i had originally planned to build a set in all 3 colours but never finished. Cheers, Chris
  11. Build these just recently. First attempt at heat staining the exhaust that turned into weathering lol Yes i know the red is not correct but i just wanted a bit of a change.
  12. Thats what i was thinking about the title. lol Thanks for the suggestion. Thats the way i'll go Cheers
