Need help finding info on this Funny Car that Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen first outing at the NHRA World Finals At Pomona in Oct. 1988. The 1957 Chevy i saw an article on this car in Hotrodding Mag back in 88 or 89 can not remember!!! The Mag also did a centerfold picture off this car, any info on this car would be greatful!!!! I bought the Revell kit at a show and want to build this car!!! Thanks Jeff Marsh.

I stand to be corrected sorry for the miss lead info!! I did not get to attend the show last year a good friend went and he said that the awards was given as so i posted. Sorry i was miss told. This show is one of the top shows along with the Birimgham Classic, top model builders and top quailty models on the table along with top notch vendors!!! If you have not been to this show you need to give yourself a treat and go, only one thing i do not like about this show, they give out the TOP 10 and Best of Awards, last year 8 of the awards went to club members i do not agree with this at all. I feel that the host club members not be allowed to show in the voted area of the show if they please show them in a show only area by club members. I have heard and talked to alot of people and they said this also was not right!! This is of my 2 cents worth and what i feel. As i have said the show part is AWSOME and have the best builders from all over!!!! Thanks Jeff.

Well here is my "2 cents". Some of my best friends i have meet at model shows, i also have had the pleasure of meeting some of the top builders and showing with them also, the likes of Clay Kemp, Dave Thibodeau,Mark Batson, Terry Marcum, and Doug Montgomery,and also have had the plesure of knowing the Late Ricky Couch. I build for myself and not for other people. Also have been asked questions about how i did something and was honored to have given the advice on how something was done! But the more shows i attend it's the same old thing people get there feelings hurt and feel like they were snubed or was not judged fair!!!!! And some people are there for the AWARD and if that's what the hobby means to them well let it be!! They are the ones missing out on the hobby of building childhood dreams and a want a be muscle car. This is a plastic hobby meant to have fun and explore your building mind of IDEALS!!! My 2 cents worth!!!! Jeff Marsh.
