  1. I'm looking to see if there is a source for 1/25 BF Goodrich Radial Mud Terrain T/A tires in a 31X10.5 R15 size. I saw that Fireball Modelworks did a set in 33X12.5R15 which is a tad too large. Trying to replicate the '80 Toyota 4X4 I owned when I was stationed in Alaska.
  2. Awesome job so far Seth. The '69 Chevelle is my favorite Bow Tie car. Love the subtle weathering you are doing to make your paint pop.
  3. Very cool! Buick nailhead engine backed up with a Turbo 350 trans. Love it. I'll be following along with this one.
  4. Thanks all for the suggestions. BONDIC looks promising but I'm not sure of the yellowing of the resin. I'll definitely be giving some of these ideas a try. šŸ‘

    GTO

Pretty sure this is Revell's 1966 GTO Rick. The MPC 67 is a real pooch of a kit and doesn't have near this detailed of an engine bay.

Nice looking Goat Bill. This kit is a dream to build. BTW - Go Big Red!
  7. I realize the OP is talking about interiour tubs but Steve's comment here is especially true when it comes to hoods fitting.
  8. I'm trying to find out what others are doing to get rid of that toy look with chrome headlights short of drilling them out and replacing with clear parts. I've seen where others have covered them over with something that gets rid of that too shiny look but a search of the forum isn't turning up anything. I'm sure this has been covered before but for the life of me I can't find it.
  9. I have been using the Paasche H for over 40 years and have never had the bottle or paint cup fall out. I tried a Badger years ago because that's what a buddy was using and ended up hating it. Went straight back to my Paasche H. It's super simple to clean and does a great job.
  10. One of the best jobs I've seen on this particular kit. Total stunner. You captured the look of the real show rod.
  11. Here is a pic right after getting back from painters but before I could find the right sized GTO emblems.
  12. I love those old Goats so much I went out and bought a numbers matching '70 GTO. In modeling form I'm working on accurizing the old MPC kit to represent this car. It's painted Atoll blue and the painter gave me some extra paint after I got the full sized one resprayed. At some point down the road I'd like to have a complete collection of GTOs from 1964 until 1972 in 1/25 or 1/24. Thanks again and I'd love to see pics of your Meridian Turquoise if you have them. Don
  13. Talk about dredging up and old thread. I totally missed this reply! I think this was right around the time I had my second knee surgery. Anyway, you totally nailed this Curt! This is exactly what my old '68 Goat looked like. Except mine was so rusted out that only the hood, roof and trunk lid didn't flap in the wind when I went down the highway. Fantastic job.
  14. Congrats on your award. Awesome job!
  15. Stellar build. Very elegant in the silver.
  16. Such a beautiful build. Your level of detail is amazing. I love the low angle photos. Gives the car an agressive stance. Well done!
  17. Great looking GTO. I have this kit on the work bench myself. Hope mine turns out as well as yours.
  18. Holy Schnikes! I used to own the real thing back in the day you nailed it. Amazing job.
  19. Amazing build. I thought I was looking at the real thing in the first photo.
  20. Wow! What an amazing job. Great save.
  21. Great job so far. Will be following along. I have several of these old Monogram kits in the stash and have grown to appreciate them as I've gotten older.
  22. I know this is an old post but kicking the dust off to see if any progress was made on your 70 Goat build. I have a 1:1 '70 GTO that just came out of the paint shop that I'd like to replicate in 1/25 and wanted to see how yours came out.
