  1. i used to post my latest builds on eScale, but the site is down now. as i found this forum during my research works for my mercury project, i now decided to register here as well. so, thats why i'm here now. some of you already noticed that.

usually i build motorcycles in scale 1/12. but i have done 4 cars recently - 911 fiat 500, shelby gt350 turbo, '49 merc and porschrod.
all of these have one thing in common: none is oob.

i plan to share my favourite builds one after one here with you and hope you also like them as i do.

    greez,

  2. for those who are not so good in italian: its about a 911 Fiat 500

the story behind is quite simple: an italian mechanic put a porsche engine in an old fiat 500, i saw this on TV and wanted to make the same in scale.
i decided not only to use the engine, but to transfer also the complete interior, suspension, wheels and tyres.
and the rest was a lot of squeezing and cutting to make everything fit into the tiny fiat.
the wheel-arches were completely made of putty and the engine has "lost" its turbo due to lack of space and for optical reasons.
but later on the turbo will appear in a different project ...

  4. Welcome DaSpeedinger, very nice job on the Merc. Did you paint it with a brush? It looks very good!

thank u brizio. yes - its brushed. normally i do motorcycles, there not airbrushing or spraying is not really an issue. so for the few cars i made i did not start doing so.
