I'm currently storing everythig in 2 shoe boxes and I think it wont get better any time soon. Maybe next time I travel I'll get a toolbox with some compartments to properly store everything...

There are some great working areas in this topic. Great job guys

As far as I can understand with your experiences, there is no problem with bringing the kit in the carry-on. As for the rest of the supplies, I can check them without a problem. If they are lost/stolen, it will be a bummer, bu will not be a big loss and I probably can find replacements locally (at a price, of course).

Differences in prices from here to back home are 6 to 7 times higher xD

    Model kit when flying
    Hi all!

I'm wondering if there are any restrictions about carrying a model kit, before assembly, in your hand luggage when flying. Does anyone knows?
I usually travel home every 3 months and i would like to bring model kits to entertain myself while abroad (ordering them to Angola is not a safe bet). I also don't trust loading and unloading companies that much to let my best items unattended for long.

So, has anyone ever traveled with a backpack full of bits and pieces?

    Introducing myself
    Hey guys!

My name is Fausto and I've been lurking around this forum for awhile now. Just decided it was time to start posting.
I have a Mini Morris in my workbench back home that I started 2 years ago. I left it unattended since I went working abroad and didn't had the time (in reality I forgot all about it). For the past few weeks the desire to complete the build and start a new one hitted hard and I bought a fujimi enthisast '76 Porsche Turbo on ebay and have been sending multiple orders to home.

In my next trip I'll bring everything with me and will post some photos.

Meanwhile I'll keep drinking from this forum knowledge and be learning more and more.
