Forum Posts, Moderating, Reporting, etc. 12/20/2016The Report function of the forum works well. If you see someone acting up, acting out, or just being an okole, use the Report function. It works! I have it set up so it not only sends me an email, but that email is then marked with a flag, and get's put to the top of my email list. I will try to access/look at the report/topic as soon as possible, but remember, I'm on a six hour time delay, and other mods not only have a life, but a real job as well. k den
relapse added a topic in On The WorkbenchAlfa Romeo 155 V6 TIHi all. First post and first kit since 12 or 13 years old.
I built a workbench in the garage with my dad and needed an excuse to use it. While I haven't been building in 25 or so years, I've still collected kits here and there. I figured I would start off with this Alfa kit as I'm not really attached to the subject so if I end up totally botching the job I won't be too upset.
Build of the Tamiya Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI -
Fitting the engine and trans together. Sanded down rivets and Alfa logo in hopes to use PE details -
Chassis and cockpit floor had significant seam lines and injections marks -
Dry fit of exhaust system -
And dry fit of rear suspension and drive -
More clean up -
PE detail on rotors and radiators. This required quite a bit of filing and sanding. I'm not sure if there's an easier method but this approach was laborious. Fitment of the PE rotors wasn't great and required plenty of filing on the PE part. The sheet was from Studio 27.
This intake cover piece had closed grill molding. I trimmed that away for an open PE grill.
Injection holes filled and more cleanup on chassis / cockpit -
