Rain-X usually works fairly well especially if your glass or lexan is polished up.

Thanks, o-man. I wish I could say it will be a sleeper but they aren't fast unless you're going through corners which is where these and other CDW-27 cars come alive. When all is said and done I'm crossing my fingers for ~245 N/A hp to the wheels. Not fast, but lively. Turning is the fun part anyway when you live in the Kettle Moraine area and just 15 minutes away from Road America

Chrome does a great job of translating foreign websites so I use it quite often. Sometimes I'll use FireFox which has more browser extensions that I like to use. Chrome seems more intrusive than Firefox, but you have to expect that from Google.
Shockingly CC Cleaner is still a clean program. If things get to slow I use that to clear a lot of saved info and multiple caches at once. It has a lot of other uses as well so it might be worth looking into.

I'd like to build a sandrail or some sort of exposed frame buggy, a short course truck or something similar, and just about anything setup for Baja, Paris-Dakar or Pike's Peak.

Here's a couple Ford Contours I own. The first is an '98 SE that is my one and only. It's a great little car for a grandma's car. The 2.5 V6 was upgraded with an aluminum flywheel, SVT upper and lower intakes, SVT throttle-body along with the entire SVT air cleaner assembly and MSDS headers. Suspension was upgraded with Moog links, Eibach springs and BAT struts. I threw some brembo rotors and Hawk pads on it. Plan for the winter is to drop a 3.0 from a Taurus (or others, whatever is the best deal at the time) in it and replace the diff with an aftermarket option. The 3.0 basically bolts right in with few mods and are ready to tear up the MTX-75 5-speed...
And here's an SVT Contour. Yes, SVT actually made a Contour. At the time I bought this one for the transmission and SVT heads, cams and computer. I threw on the ST200 wheels, painted grille and headlights since they were laying around.

I like it. The solid color on the rear valance is a nice touch. I wonder if there's a way to make hippari/stance/stretched style tires from stockers. Maybe with a little heat. Not really my thing so I'll leave it to anyone else who wants to try

Anyone planning to go to the SCCA Runoffs? 717 drivers on the entry list. It's been spectacular the last couple years. This is the last year it will be held at Road America until they decide to bring it back.

For interiors a Spyker will do. Have you seen those interiors!
For an exterior I will always adore the XJ13.For drivetrain looks I'd say older Ferraris and Alfa Romeos nail it.
And for an overall car I like the Aston Martin Vantage (any year), the TVR Sagaris, McLaren F1LM and the Shelby GT350R. Ascari cars are nice too. There's really too many to list.

I think nascar kits would be great for build a hard-parked car. A hard-parked car is one that is built up completely with race modifications but without the intention of ever being raced.
So, the stock cars have fuel cells, headers, an aluminum radiator, roll cage and support bars, fire extinguisher, disc brakes, oil cooler, rear end cooler, race seat, race exhaust, window net, steering wheel, MSD ignition boxes, race instrument cluster, the springs with slight modification could pass for coil-overs, maybe the upper and lower A-arms, and depending on what you're building the entire driveline could be used. This is all from an AMT kit, so bits from other manufacturers might vary but I don't know the differences of them. -
At my local HL they had some Createx Wicked Colors on clearance along with some Model Master bombs. The MM paint was marked down to $1.34 before tax from $6.19.. Prowler Purple and Ford Phoenician Yellow was all that was there. Does anyone check out the clearance sections? There's 2 different areas at the one near me. I'm curious to see if other stores might have the same things that way we can give one another a heads up on a good deal.

Well I was thinking the plexi-glass would be for the windows. But I think I'll just order some clear Styrene since it's easier to cut and I know I can work with it easily.

The problem I have with most of these techniques?...While some really good ideas, would not SCALE salt be more on the consistency of talcum powder?...Or not...(grin)...'Z'
Ground salt could be scaled to whatever you would like it to be if you simply run it through specific mesh count screens.

Some people have said they could indicate which side the drivers wheel and such were on to keep them from entering the wrong side during driver changes. I can't really see the benefit unless you weren't watching the in-car driver get out. I could see it helping during LeMans starts if a driver was unfamiliar with the car, I guess. In any case it's fun to read all the "rumors and speculation" of their purpose on the internet.

I'm not exactly sure where it came from, but Renaults, Talbots, Amilcars, Morettis and probably tons of others used the Grand Sport name well before any Corvette. The two stripes may have been launched on a 'Vette though and are often referred as hash marks. Cobras among others used the hash marks in the 60's.

You can't call yourself an enthusiast until you've seen this movie! A bit exaggerated but it's a pretty standard must-see movie. People should watch "Winning" as well.

BMF would have to be it. I haven't tried it yet so there's plenty of room for improvements
However, I am curious about using MotoStorm motochrome instead.
