  1. because surprisingly 8 out of 10 people dont know how to drive stick shift!
  2. hopefully they got the licensing issues resolved with thermo king and can now give us a proper reefer unit.
  3. you can still find the straight black rubber air lines in use today, many truckers still prefer them over the coiled plastic ones that are so popular right now. the coiled lines suck in cold temperatures.
  4. now if we can just get stuff like this in the next new truck kit that'd be sweet, along with tripac's and dpf exhaust systems.
  5. since amt is big into movie tie-ins right now a truck that i think would sell good is the lead truck from "maximum overdive". amt pretty much already has the tractor and trailer, all they would have to tool up is the goblin head and a different sleeper for the tractor and the appropiate decals.
  6. artwork on the top and ends of the box and pics of a built up example on the sides, and as long as the artwork isn't over-exaggerated like the foose kits.
  7. heres a prime example: i'm currently building italeri's ford aeromax 106 kit and realized theres no battery boxes for this truck, their aeromax 120 kit has them along with their ltl9000 kit but they got overlooked in this kit. not really a big deal for me as i prolly have something suitable in my spare parts box.
  8. revell makes an '02 ss which is almost identical to a '99 and amt and revell/monogram both did '93-95 z28's. no one ever did a base camaro(at least not in kit form) that i know of.
  9. i know its highly unlikely but i wish round2 could tell us what kits could possibly be reissued in the future. that way i can refrain from buying the pricey originals on ebay.
  10. now hopefully revell will re-release their f350 soon, those things aint cheap on that auction site. and if this meng kit sells well enough maybe we'll get a new silverado or ram next! one could only hope!
  11. not to mention the grille and bumper being a one piece unit! but this new kit should look pretty sweet next to the monogram f250/350.
  12. well its good to know the italeri tires seem to be holding up pretty good. this is my most recent italeri build, i completed this one about 5 years ago. italeri makes some nice truck kits, they build up nicely and look good when completed. and thats a beautiful freightliner you have there helmut!
  13. hello, i was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the rubber tires in italeri truck kits dry rotting? or even rog kits for that matter. i'm not having any problems right now but none of my built-ups are more than ten years old. i've heard stories about dry rotting tires in old revell car kits and alot of the japanese car kits but i haven't heard anything about truck kits. italeri makes some nice truck kits and i'd hate to see them sitting on rims in the future. i thought about wiping the tires down with armor-all or something like that on future builds, has anybody tried this before? thanks- brian
  14. it may take close to two months to get your part but be patient. i bought the pete 353"western life" kit from my lhs and it was missing the entire clear parts tree, i put in a request at revell and it took almost two months to get it and i never recieved any emails regarding my request. kudos to revell for fulfilling my request even tho it took awhile.
