  1. What do you mean by templates Benny? You can photograph anything and then cut out the photo and mount it on stiffer, thicker material then cut it out.
  2. Putting this full scale model Formula 1 here for your viewing. Designed and scratch built from plywood and sheet styrene. Real racing slicks on fabricated plastic wheels. ABS plastic suspension and axles. Thes photo was staged on a go kart track.

  4. Built this simple Model T hot rod for display purposes. I also produced some antique gas pumps to add to the display. Cars chassis is square PVC pipe, the body and engine block are made of foam core. The injectors, headers, windshield frame and axle are PVC. The valve covers are wallpapering trays turned upside down. Real tires and wheels and steering wheel, with a bench seat from a school bus.
  5. Rick your model is fantastic. Looks like I could check the oil and belts, kick the tires, hook up and head out up the mountain. Attached is me and my Western Star last winter up in Mackenzie, BC.
  6. Scratch building 2, 1/8 scale 73 style funny cars. One is rear engine, the other front motored. Using Parma Cuda body for one car. The other will be a scratch built body. Parma blown engine kit.
  7. I'm driving a Volvo pulling fuel tanker B trains. Delivering gas and diesel to service stations on Vancouver Island. But I'm probably going back to running south on a refer run in a Western Star.
  8. Two more replicas completed. Using my digital photo construction technique which consists of me photographing all the surfaces of the real truck, then scaling the photos to 1/43 scale and cutting out all the parts from the photographs. Then gluing all the parts together onto a plastic chassis and fully lit with micro lights. Finished product is basically a 3D photo replica.

  10. Designed and built this Formula 1 car in 1988, to enter a radio station advertising contest and won! The chassis is plywood with sheet styrene used to form the body. Tires are real, mounted on fabricated plastic wheels.
  11. Hey chris thought you'd get a kick of this photo of my 71 Camaro F/C model and your Prudhomme Vega at Beeline Dragways doing side by side burnouts. Set up this shot in 1976 with an Kodak Instamatic camera.
  12. Beautiful job on an iconic subject. The finish you have achieved is fantastic! Saw The Snake and this car at Bison Dragways in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the late 70's, Don was match racing Bill Schifsky and wasn't happy because Schifsky's driver, Doc Holiday tried to burn Prudhomme down on the starting line with a slow stage but The Snake kicked his ass anyways. It rained after the first run and we helped The Snake and Bob Brant put the Monza back in the Chaparral.
  13. What a great subject with amazing work... you are a master modeller Marlowe!!
  14. Fantastic craftsmanship, super clean build with a magical finish!
  15. Very Cool project. Great scratch build work! Reminds me of the trailer my parents, grandmother, 2 brothers, 1 sister and me, dragged from Regina, Saskatchewan to Disneyland and back behind our 1957 Ford Ranchwagon, in 1959. Can you say "Family Vacation"?
  16. Using a Parma 1:10 scale Firebird F/C body I built a chassis on free wheeling axles, built a hobby rocket engine mount and fire this baby down the street on a guide line. When the engine "backfires" twin chutes are deployed to bring it to a halt. On the first run, one chute deployed before the other which upset the aerodynamics and flipped the car at full speed and it skidded to a stop on it's roof. I'll post a video of that run, which I'd estimate the top end was 60 MPH.
  17. The body on this scratch bulit tractor is produced by cutting out the various body panels, ie: grill, doors, hood etc from digital photos that I have taken of the actual truck then mounting them together over a plastic chassis. This creates a exact replica of the real truck.

  19. Two of my completed, scratch built Western Stars in 1:43 scale.
  20. Finished my latest scratch built Digital Replica in 1:43 scale
  21. Hey Nitro those are great pics of the car especially that wheel stand. FYI that's Woody Gilmore who built that chassis talking with Big Jim.
  22. Man this is a fantastic project, the finish you are working towards is gonna be great!!
