Good looking T-Bird. "What's the word? Thunderbird. What's the price? 50 twice".
We get a giggle out of that phrase.....We tried to bribe the judges at LeMons with that swill, They didn't want it so we gave them our bottle of Jameson's

Just got my March issue. 4 pages of funny car models..

A kit I got for Christmas almost 50 years ago from my aunt. It was reissued so since I'm reliving the past I bought it a year ago and just finished it. Not perfect but it's the 8th or so model I've done since getting back into this obsession....Engine and seats seem out of scale, some stuff didn't fit right but I think it came out decently enough..
Thanks for looking

Reliving my modeling youth would require me getting cherry bombs and M80s to load into my completed projects.
Never did that but lit some on fire and sent them off a cliff

I am back into the modeling thing on and off for the last couple of years. I imagine there are lot's on here like myself in their 50's and playing with little plastic cars
I seem to be buying the same kits that I did when I was 12 only now I can do them better..Or is it my eyesight makes it seem that way?
I'll get a Tijuana Taxi or a Beer Wagon or a '58 Impala and try to build them the way I had in my youth .Same colors etc...Am I the only one that does this?

Use superglue or epoxy to glue resin.
Do I need something to bridge the gap?

Got a resin body at a flea market and someone had cut the hood out (BADLY) . I want to do a curbside model but am new to resin...What do I have to do?
Guess I didn't double check my spelling on hood

I'm doing one right now

That's funny and a great idea at the same time..

Some colors aren't used all the time and they separate out...
I made a J shape thing out of a coat hanger and spin it in the jars but there has to be a better way...Is there?

You missed the trim strip on the front fenders/doors, too.
That's what I meant

Dang I just realized the spear on the fender...Back to the workbench I guess

Just finished this...It's a present for a boss I worked for for 20+ years. Lots of stuff kicked my ass but it was a learning experience. I know one's a hardtop and the original is a post car. I also know the bumper over riders are wrong. Basically streching my comfprt zone. Kit bashed, scratchbuilt interior and I think I did OK .

Thanks that's a good idea...Now how do I get both handles in the correct spots on the doors? A template of some sort?

Very sad to hear...Cancer does suck and it's a real shame that his energy had to go into fighting insurance companies instead of just trying to heal.
My condolences to his family and friends

Cool. I know for a fact that the Dollar General store has the Totally Awesome on the shelves!

I see it's an old thread but has anyone finished one of these Mustangs recently? It seems as if they threw the tooling together and nothing fits quite right.

Just picked up one last month...Back when I was a kid it was one of the first I did.
Painted it with Q-Tip.. I had no clue obviously..I think when I do build it it will be nicer than the last
