  1. Thank you ... maybe I’ll let the valet park my ford wagon next time ...
  2. ... good thing I used a pencil ... it took me two tries to get through that maze ! Beautiful job Bruce.
  3. I agree with Dan ... maybe cord of some kind ... that braid looks like the gold chain the guy likely to drive that thing would wear around his neck ...
  4. Thank you Tim ... I tend to crack jokes as a distraction away from not knowing what I’m doing please bear with me ... I joke a lot
  5. Thanks for the recipe Bruce ... it looks great! i think I’ll try it tonite .
  6. there was a time when not much got by me ... but I can’t quite remember when that was ... I wanted to be there when you started your move to the Pochers but i just found this Scott ... tough gettin’ old I guess I don’t know why the mats don’t go ... maybe because you did such a nice and neat job on those seats! Great job ...
  7. Well done Chris. You should be proud ! i have a lot of respect for you F1 guys ...
  8. ... I fainted on the hose clamps
  9. Thanks Rob ... I figure if the driver’s too short to get both cheeks over, he doesn’t get to drive this beast ... however ... I took your advice and I got this ... and now I’m in love ... and I feel vulnerable
  10. Thanks Dennis. Feel free to chime in ... I enjoy criticism
  11. Thanks for the save Bruce ... now I got some work to do.
  12. Jeeez, for awhile there I forgot why I was here ... you guys know your stuff ... Gotta get a thicker pipe ... what do ya think Bruce ?
  13. Thanks Bruce, but I want to keep in line (somewhat) with the era like this Napier ...
  14. Thanks Scott. ... this thing’s evolving on its own. The gran touring cars of the era had huge exhaust systems for some reason (I imagine running through villages got complaints) and I’m thinkin’ ole Henry woulda approved anyway. So I thought a v8 using both sides of the car would make a statement. I imagined a side exhaust exiting just in front of the rear wheels. But once I stuck it on, I thought it looked too long for the car and shortened it up to in front of the front fenders. What do ya think? I’m not sure ...
  15. Thanks Mike! I think your next pic is the same car as in my post, but the fact that there’s more than one example is good enough for me. I think I’ll try that. It’s sure neater, thanks again.
  16. Thanks Bruce and Dennis. I found this version of a “Arduned” flathead with the water lines going out the front of the heads: https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1932-FORD-ARDUN-HIGHBOY-CUSTOM-ROADSTER-225919 I’d like to use it. Has anyone seen a similar setup ... or is this legit?
  17. Amazing build ... your throttle-linkage work alone is humbling
  18. I think I got the exhaust manifold fitted ... sorta ...
  19. Thanks Richard. Good observation. The ‘32 Le Mans winning Alpha is giving me a lotta inspiration ... but where the Alpha went long, this is goin’ wide
  20. Thanks Bill. How’s that 1:1 goin’?
  21. Thanks Andy. That will be my option if I can’t fit otherwise . the other problems are the water lines over the top of the engine and the steering box room ... but those are down the road
  22. Lol ... bring it on, but know this is a fantasy build so I can do what I want I hope things are well with you Scott
  23. Hey thanks Bruce. Shortly after posting I played around and suddenly remembered I built the manifold with nuts made from tube stock inside the block on each exhaust so that I could swivel them to accommodate any angle ... I wish I took pics I really want the side exhausts to complement those giant heads stickin out of the car. Those Alpha guys woulda wet their pants at that scene ... it won’t be easy though
  24. I really want to have the exhaust go out the side, but it’s gonna be tight ...
  25. ... as I was sayin’ ... i think I got the proportions to where I want it ...
