  1. Thank you sir! Guess I'll make this a two for one thread, been working on the 352 interior. I tried playing around with the airbrush to paint the blue and green.
  2. Trying to make some Super City-style half fenders like I have on my real truck to replace the kit fenders
  3. Got her on her own ten feet today lol. Also I got a sudden urge to build a 352 a few weeks ago, so I've been doing both trucks at the same time.
  4. Haven't done much more, but I decided to repainted the engine because I thought the weathering was overdone. I experimented with some baking soda to get a little texture in the rust this time.
  5. Thanks Pavel. I also painted the frame yesterday, now it needs some weathering as well.
  6. lol she has a few more miles on than I had originally intended.
  7. Thanks Pavel, that is a good idea. I used metal wire for the brake lines because I had some laying around, but it was hard to work with because it's not as flexible.
  8. I've only been working on this one here and there now that the weather is getting nicer. This time I tried adding some simple air lines for the brakes and suspension, and some fuel and return lines on the engine. I want to try and do a little weathering to make it look like a nicely maintained working truck.
  9. Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy how it turned out for my first attempt. It was a real nice kit, everything fit together pretty well as it should. I never really looked twice at one of these trucks, but now I think I've developed a soft spot for them lol.
  10. Getting closer every day. Gotta wrap it up soon, my wife is ready to do yard work lol.
  11. This is my 379, needless to say after the winter we had it isn't shining like this right now lol.
  12. It's rust oleum "gloss fern" green. It was the most '70's shade that I could find at Lowes, lol. My original plan was to just paint it solid dark blue, but I found a few pics of trucks with this stripe, so I decided to go for it.
  13. Thanks guys, the paint job is far from show quality, but for a first attempt I'm happy with it. I learned some things to improve the next time.
  14. Hello, new guy here. I got back into modeling for the first time since I was a kid this year. It was far too brutal of a winter to do anything to my real truck, haha. My wife bought me this kit as a Hanukkah gift and I've had a great time building it.
