  1. I decided to build a lowered 2WD pickup out of the GMC Big Game Hunter. I am using the chassis from the 1966 Suburban as I used the GMC chassis for a 4x4 Suburban. I am also using the Big Block Chevy from the AMT 1963 Corvette.
  2. As a kid growing up in the 90s and early 2000s, I fondly remember many nice model kits that I wish I had the opportunity to build. Now it seems the manufacturers keep bringing out the same kits over and over again. At least Round 2 seems to be bringing out some kits from my childhood or even before my time. My question is this: is there a website that shows model kits released by year. Also, is there a good site I can look at for kits that are no longer in production. I know I can look at eBay, but I run the risk of either not finding what I'm looking for, or the price being a little too rich for my price range. Thank you for any help, and sorry for such a long post.
  3. Thank you everyone for your input. I have decided to postpone the build of this truck as I have other projects to complete.
  4. Thank you everyone for your input. I have decided not to build the truck as all out as I originally planned. However, the build will receive a twin turbo Duramax from Trailer Trash Kustoms and a set of custom wheels I found on Ebay.
  5. I found some parts on Scenes Unlimited, but unfortunately the website is still down.
  6. I'm wanting to build a truck in this type of style, but of course with the GMC Deserter pickup. This is a SEMA truck and seems to be a popular style truck build. I'm looking for wheels, suspension, bumpers, or anything else that may this type of build.
  7. I found these wheels on etsy. I am looking for something similar to this type of wheels.
  8. Hello everybody. I recently purchased the Deserter 1984 GMC kit and I am wanting to build a lifted show truck like something you would see at SEMA or on the Youtube Channel for Custom Offsets, a company based in Wisconsin that builds custom lifted trucks. I remember seeing a website a while back that had wheels and other parts for these types of builds, but it was so long ago I don't remember what it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Nice GTX, it looks like an old school sleeper.
  10. These are really nice builds. Do you produce these for sale or are these just for your personal builds? I really think it would be nice to build one of these.
  11. Cool Porsche you have built. I really like the rally style. I don't think too many people would consider building a Porsche model in this style, although I could be wrong.
  12. Very nice Boss built in a beautiful color.
  13. Good looking Roadster you have here.
  14. This is a great looking Deuce Coupe. I really like the red, white, and blue theme. It definitely says American hot rod.
  15. I've decided that I'm going to build a chassis from scratch. It'll be my first time so I hope it turns out okay.
  16. Hello everybody. I bought the GMC Big game hunter pickup kit to donate the chassis to a Suburban. Now I'm wanting to build a pro street out of the GMC. Does anybody know any good options on a chassis? Could I use the 66 Suburban chassis or would I need something else? If I need to scratch build a chassis, what type and size of styrene tubing would I need? Sorry for so many questions, but I've never really built a model outside the box before.
  17. Good looking Barracuda. I think you did a great job.
  18. Looks pretty good to me. I think it looks kind of like a 60s show car.
  19. That looks like the very first model I ever built. I was about 8 years old at the time. Unfortunately, I can't take any pictures because it's in storage right now.
  20. I really like both ideas, but I myself am leaning towards the first one. I'm in the process of building a mild custom style of this Plymouth using a Jimmy Flintstone chopped body since I botched the original.
  21. Nice job on this build. I always liked the Rodger Dodger hot wheels car as a kid. You made an excellent replica.
  22. Very nice clean build. I think it definitely looks better than the other option.
  23. Great looking Galaxie. The 63 is my favorite year and they certainly look great in red. Definitely a very nice build.
