For what it's worth, the kit part (which is only in some issues) isn't an accurate representation of the real Deora bed cover.
But in any case, not that difficult to make with some sheet plastic, which is what I did:

This should be a good! I've always wished Tamiya had done this one in 1/24.

I have an extra Tiger Shark hood if you're still looking (Tiger Shark and Dream Rod hoods are slightly different).

Well done!

Hey Tim, any reason why the car has two seats? Was 'Ol Geo really supposed to carry a passenger down the 1320? Wouldn't that also affect the weight distribution too?
I'm not Tim, but I believe gassers were required by the rules to have two seats.

That Tiger body is looking good!

Here are a couple of shots of part 84, the generator. Some similarities to your part, but not identical.

Kinda looks like a remote oil filter mount to me. I only have the stock version on hand and I don't see that part in the kit or on the instruction sheet. Any chance it migrated over from another kit?

And he is on the same streets as you are, Steve.
Right you are, Alan. We've already got too many guys driving around here that have spent too much time watching the "Fast and Furious" franchise and apparently believe it's a documentary.
Not to beat a dead horse here, but a few further thoughts: while most of us here can appreciate an outrageously built car, I'm not sure why anyone needs to put 1300 HP in a car that they don't intend to race - but of course if you were building a race car you'd have to adhere to a strict set of safety guidelines. On the other hand, if you want to build an automotive sculpture, make it as wild as your imagination and budget allows, trailer it to shows, and maybe don't make the streets any more dangerous than they already are.

Wow, this has to be one of the most infuriating things I've seen lately, and not just because he ruined a '64 Comet. The guy was lucky he didn't kill someone - there's nothing about this that can even remotely be called an "accident".

No website. Since beginning. Norm the best, busy, and content making perfect stuff. Call him best I’d think.
Yes, you can call, email, or mail order, but no website. Pretty old school, but I usually fill in the order form and mail it in with a check. Service and quality are second to none.

Replicas and Miniatures does one. Part # RH-901

Just completed a great trade with Dr Kerry - quick and easy.

Boy, I'd like to find decals to build that C&T Stroker car.
The one in the famous photo as it pukes the tranny in front of the driver.
From a few years ago, right here:

The original "Hot Tranny Mess"!
According to this article, it wasn't the trans - it was the bottom end.

I saw this rather famous example at a show yesterday. The Ratican Jackson Stearns Fiat:

I've got a complete one I'd be willing to trade - don't really want to break it up because it isn't worth much without the wheels and tires.
-
Anybody have one of these they'd like to trade?
Can be open, but otherwise complete, but I don't need the decals. I have various things to trade (complete kits, partial kits, parts, etc), depending on your interests.
-
Wow, excellent! I don't think I've seen a build of this car before.
-
Good job, Rich! Your modifications really paid off. I built this kit several years ago and found it quite a challenge - the worst was the engine cover which was warped and I never could get it to fit decently. The decals weren't too bad for me, but I don't imagine time has been kind to them.
The Heller and Airfix kit are the same; there are two versions with slightly different decals that I know of.

Beautiful GS Steve. What did you use for tires and tire decals?
Thanks, Pierre - I'm sure yours will be great!
Tires are just the kit tires. Decals I can't quite remember - maybe Fred Cady, but I keep a few different sheets around that have the Goodyear Blue Streak circles. I know Indycals makes some now: https://www.indycals.net/decals/tires/blueringtires.html
Anyway, build thread here from a few years back, and once again, good luck with yours. I'll be watching.

Actually, I was so interested in this kit that I bought a clean, half built, mostly unpainted original a few years back off eBay. I didn't figure it would be reissued any time soon, if ever!
I also have the Replicas & Miniatures one piece copies of the tires. Part T-25, not sure if he still sells them.
