  1. First stage of painting on BM Camaro is done. I shot the auto-touch up white yesterday and the MCW rally green today. Plans call for installing the decals then clearing it with some Tamiya TS-13. Thanks for looking all comments welcomed.
  2. Yesterday I used almost a whole can of flat black paint to do the interiors and frames on two of these builds. I just had to see how they looked sitting on wheels. Thank you for looking all comments welcomed.
  3. You all know how it is, you shoot a model. Think it's great, share pics. Then you look a bit more closely and discover that paint job was not that good. Yeah. I needed to wet sand the Camaro convertible and put some more coats on it. Here is the finished product.
  4. Another Camaro project started. This time it's the convertible by Revell. Painted Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red. Here it is before the paint, mocked up with a set of AMT Firestone tires and Revell 69 Nova SS wheels. I finally figured out what is wrong with the Revell SS wheels, they are molded without the trim rings installed. A set of these from the AMT 69/70 Chevelle kit looks much better. They are the ones I'm using on the Revell 69 Chevelle. Thanks, all comments welcomed.
  5. It is a nice kit, but you do have to put the sub frame in last after the floor pan is in. I solved my problem with the orange plastic by painting mine hugger orange 🙂
  6. That Chevelle is coming along nicely. I've got one that I did the black bottom on it first. I actually started to build the 68 Chevelle and El Camino together but ran out of steam on them. I should resurrect them and get them completed. What bummed me out was when I compared the kit interiors to real life cars and realized neither one was accurate, although the Revell interior is a bit more accurate than the El Caminos.
  7. This is a fun kit! I have five of them, actually six. One completed when it first came out, four more in various stages of completion, and 1 still in the box I want to turn into a 68. Stock build of the SS Nova Yenko 427 Nova Nova SS with cross-ram intake from 69 Camaro SS 396 version Home grown 396 powered Nova I built in 2008.
  8. I could see myself cruising around in this! These MPC 67 Bonnivilles are like Layes potato chips, you can't have just one! The silver one is another annual kit while the gold one is a promo that I bought for parts and decided to repair the big hole in the trunk. Thanks for looking. All comments welcomed.
  9. Got this last year as a bult up. I removed the old paint and reshot it with some Tamiya paints. I reshot it today with Testors' Lime Ice over that Tamiya color. I think I like this color now! Thanks for looking all comments welcomed.
  10. Finally started putting this one together. Interior, windows, taillights, frame all installed. Just need to put the rear pan on, bumpers, grille, etc..
  11. Mockup of body, frame and interior together.
  12. So, had to change to change the color on the 67 Camaro since I painted the interior the same color as the body and there was no difference in the color. I grabbed a can of Tamiya TS60 Pearl green and shot it directly over the clear coated artisan turquoise. What do you all think of the new color now? Before After
  13. This one is painted with Testors' brilliant aqua with Testors' wet look clear. Thanks for looking all comments welcomed.
  14. I just got this one painted after figuring out what color I wanted it. Testors' artesian turquoise with Testors' wet look clear.
  15. I got some color on this one, unfortunately I grabbed the wrong paint and it's shot with Testors' Chrysler Daytona yellow. Oh well. Testors' wet look clear was used as a final coat. Thanks for looking all comments welcomed.
  16. My wife, nephew and his wife, and I are jetting off to Iceland April 1st, so it may be a while before I get back to this one.

  19. It looks really good. There is a very small pin hole in one of the rear fender areas that should not be too hard to fix.
  20. I never got the "official" Revell kit of the ZR1 because the only difference was the hubcaps and steel wheels. Since I have quite a few of the 69 Novas I decided to take the tires/wheels and caps from one of those, the big block engine from the Revell 65 Impala SS kit and make my own ZL1. It will be painted Daytona Yellow. I found some smaller diameter tires that fit the wheel wells better but will still use those rims.
  21. I needed to get the 65 Impala for the engine for another project (home grown ZL1 69 Camaro). I got a Revell 69 Z/28 Camaro to build it and would have a left over 302. What to do? I'm taking the valve covers from the Revell 64 Impala and putting them on this 302, instant 327! The engine looks small in there. I have used the victor intake from a Moebius 64 Nova kit and almost have the engine built, but no pics. Here is how I'm building it. I've secured a set of Cragers from an AMT 65 El Camino kit and I need to find some tires.
  22. Another MCW body I got back in December, I am combining this with the AMT 62 Bel Air frame and the six cylinder from the AMT 60 Chevy pickup.
  23. I got this body from MCW resins and decided to combine it with a Revell 1966 Frame. The parts line up really well. Still working on tires/wheels.
