  1. Thanks Guys for the information. This has been very helpful. Bill
  2. Hi Guys, Thanks for all the information so far. This is what I was hoping for. Hugh... On the contrary, I think your information was very good and gives me something to consider. Bill
  3. That might make a neat survey "What airbrush-compressor combo do you use".
  4. Thanks for the suggestion Michael. Hi Harry. I will try to be more specific. The main reason for asking is that I don't know much about either. When you look on the internet there is a never ending list of suggestions. I figured that by asking people on this site, they would be able to make suggestions that work best for building 1:24 / 1:25 cars.I would like to have a small compressor, on bigger than around 1/4hp that has a good regulator and a good moisture filter. As for a airbrush, I would like to get something that can paint bodies as well as small detail. Bill
  5. Hi Ray, From what I have seen so far, I'm really worried about the budget, if it's not tooooo crazy. Bill
  6. Hi Harry. That's kinda what I wanted. Then I will weed through the suggestions and come up with something that will work for me. I figure the folks on this site will have lots of ideas for airbrushes for this application. Bill
  7. Hi Guys, I am looking to get my first good airbrush and compressor. Does anybody have any suggestions. I looking for good quality that's not too hard to use. Thanks, Bill
  8. Hey Rob, I see you are from Tampa. I grew up in Tampa, but have moved across the bay. Ok. I have finally gotten the front end to sit good. You may ask why I paint the body before doing the body prep. I have no idea. It must have sounded good at the time. Bill

Hey Guys, My latest. Monogram Ford "T" Street Rod. Bill
  12. Hey guys, Back to work after a break.
  13. I need to work on getting the rear end to sit lower. Bill
  14. Hey All, I've gotten the paint on the body. The paint is Model Master Italian Red. Bill
  15. Hi Guys, A little update. Finished the chassis. I did not like the stance, so I lowered the front end. Bill
  16. Hi Guys, The stress cracks may have come from the same batch. Not a big deal. Just surprised to see it. Bill
  17. Hey Guys, As a result of the stress cracks on the frame rails, the rails past the motor mounts were slanted down. I glued in the wheel wells and put a weight on the chassis to pull the front up. Bill
  18. Hey Guys, If you look at the frame rails right behind the motor mounts, you can see stress cracks. The frame from my other kit is actually broken. This must be from how they remove the frame from the molds. Bill
  19. Hey Guys Starting my next adventure. As I have stated in the past, I am getting started back into building after a 30+ year layoff, so this will be a learning experience. I have gotten the AMT 66 Nova Pro Street. This actually my second kit. The first one I bought had so much flashing that I decided to use the motor for another build. This was a model that I wanted to build, so I got a second. The second model did not have very much flash ( I think that is what it is called ). I usually start with the motor, But this time I am going to start with the chassis. Bill
  20. Thanks Ray. I've gotten the exhaust built. It will take some tweaking to get them to sit correct. Bill
  21. Hey Guys, Inching forward. The rear spoiler is finished. Made it from .020 styrene. More to come. Bill
  22. Hi All, I've gotten the first exhaust built. Still have some final tweaking to do. Bill
  23. Hi Ray, Making the exhausts now. We will see how much room there is. I'm making quite a pile of scrap styrene though. Bill
  24. Hey Guys, Sorry for no updates. Work has gotten in the way. OK. I started mocking things up to see how they look and I find out that there is no room for the exhausts. So I had to cut off everything in front of the dash. Bill
