Lastly, here's a few pics of the real car.
-
Here are a few more...

Just finished this one today...Don Schumacher's 1971 Stardust Barracuda F/C. I used a resin 'Cuda body along with a modified Revell chassis. Aside from the front of the chassis, the rest of this build fell together pretty quickly (for me, that is!). I used Calnaga Casting's resin Enderle injector along with their parachutes. I also used a combination of Charlie's Pro Tech wiring and some Detail Master too. I hope you all will enjoy, and as usual...comments and questions are certainly welcome.

That build is just sick, Bruno! Really liking your building style!
-
Turned out nicely, Chris! Paint & decals look flawless.

Any Revell "modern" funnycar kit chassis will do. By that, I mean you can choose from the McDonalds Firebird, Randy Anderson Parts America Firebird, Bruce Larson Sentry Olds, etc.. If you're considering building it in 1/16th scale, TRD Innovations makes a modern 3D printed funnycar chassis.

Another nice one David! Great job!

That looks really nice, David. Smart move to paint the red. The overall detail and finish is great!

Very cool, Darryl..!

It depends on what era of fuel altered you're building, Michael. Most of the "modern" fuel altereds (like the one pictured above by Sam) are running with a 120 - 125 inch wheel base funnycar styled chassis. If you're going for the "classic" period-correct look from the 60's or 70's...well then, it's either the shorter wheelbase chassis from the early style Revell funnycars (JJ Vega, Gene Snow Charger, Blue Max Mustang, etc.), or a donor chassis from something like the Winged Express, or the Black Widow bantam altereds that were offered not too long ago. I hope this helps.

Very nice build, Chris!

Beautiful paint job, John!

Wow, Bill! Great job on this. Box stock is beautiful..!
-
Great job, Chris!

Kuddos to you, Wayne! This is shaping up nicely. Will this be a master for a new casting?
-
Beautiful job, Darryl. Very true to the actual car. Congrats, Sir!
-
Can't wait to see this in progress, Bill.
-
Really nice job, Randy!
-
Bruno, that is simply the best fuel altered I've ever seen. You have a real keen eye for the details, and it shows. Great job, Sir!
-
Nice job on that, Chuck.
-
Really nice attention to detail, Harry! Not my cup of tea as far as model subjects go, but I always appreciate the quality craftsmanship in your builds.
-
Job well done, Gerald. It looks great!
-
Another winner, John! Nice build, Sir.
-
Really, REALLY nice, John!

Thanks guys, and thanks Jimmy for being observant! Those are some old Shabo dry transfers I had laying around forever.
