  1. Just finished this one today...Don Schumacher's 1971 Stardust Barracuda F/C. I used a resin 'Cuda body along with a modified Revell chassis. Aside from the front of the chassis, the rest of this build fell together pretty quickly (for me, that is!). I used Calnaga Casting's resin Enderle injector along with their parachutes. I also used a combination of Charlie's Pro Tech wiring and some Detail Master too. I hope you all will enjoy, and as usual...comments and questions are certainly welcome.

  2. Any Revell "modern" funnycar kit chassis will do. By that, I mean you can choose from the McDonalds Firebird, Randy Anderson Parts America Firebird, Bruce Larson Sentry Olds, etc.. If you're considering building it in 1/16th scale, TRD Innovations makes a modern 3D printed funnycar chassis.

  3. It depends on what era of fuel altered you're building, Michael. Most of the "modern" fuel altereds (like the one pictured above by Sam) are running with a 120 - 125 inch wheel base funnycar styled chassis. If you're going for the "classic" period-correct look from the 60's or 70's...well then, it's either the shorter wheelbase chassis from the early style Revell funnycars (JJ Vega, Gene Snow Charger, Blue Max Mustang, etc.), or a donor chassis from something like the Winged Express, or the Black Widow bantam altereds that were offered not too long ago. I hope this helps.
