  1. First off, I never SAID I was an Attorney, AND to that back when I WAS a Photobucket user, (over 8 years ago now) You didn't have to sign and agree to ANYTHING..... I WAS a new user back in 2003. The YEAR they were a "Rookie" so. none of that fell onto me, and I don't recall doing much more than making a account with my then current e-mail, so having said that, I BET I was grandfathered in, if that account would still be "active" which it has not been in 8 years and thankfully, I removed ALL my pics way back when so I'm free and clear of this BS by them!

Still its a buncha Horse Manure!!!!

  2. Yep its been over 2 years now that I've been using Pinterest for a photo host..... ALL my builds on here are pics I hyper linked from Pinterest into the message body with the img code added. ALL those postings and build threads of mine, are first typed out in MS notepad, with the pinterest image code embedded (hyper linked) into the body, and then cope & pasted in to the replay area of the proper thread.....

I've had no issues with that since I've started it..... Like them just because of that too! Plus other like-minded people can see your work and repin it as well. so if you go this route BE SURE to mark your pics as "yours"..... As they're your copy right....

Which brings me to photobucket, if they're charging people to get their pics back, to download therm on their computers, as long as that "said" user took the pictures, thats actually copyright infringement..... Photobucket might want ot be careful, as that could be a wining law suit for EVERY user...... Be a class action hit, BUT paying for your own work, to get it back as far as I know is illegal! As that said person owns it in the first place and did not state that photobucket could "sell" it for a profit......

  3. -I LEFT Photobucket of C-R-A-P YEARS ago...... I'm using Pinterest, have thousands of pics, and about 7/8th of them hyper linked online forums and show up without an issue. ALL FREE!!!!! The only limit I have found with them, is you can only upload 25 pics in one sitting, get up do something for one hour afterward you reach the limit, come back in one hour and do it again!.......... I'm pleased with their pic services, and others can "share" your pics too!

  4. Same goes for you. And thank you for the 64 Merc, and 57 chevy....

-Your more then welcome! I got something I was looking for and for me? As long as its something I have interest in, I'm fair game with a lot of the "extra's" I find, and get so..... ENJOY my friend!!! As I know I will what I got in trade from you on those 2 cars! Happy they went to a good home!

  5. GREAT trade with ranma AKA "Rick" that was something from a Pay It Forward type deal NOT done there turned out as a full blown trade, THANKS man, look forward in it again! Much Appreciated and very happy with the trade!

  6. The engine parts are spread out over six different parts trees, there parts to build two different engines, two different belt/pulley piece, two different intake manifolds, two different oil pans, two different front of the engine block pieces( the name is escaping me) I can get some some pics took of the parts tomorrow

Thanks man! I appreciate it I just want to see if I ought to and thats a defining factor so....

  7. Yeah a lot can be done with a good ole 225 Slant 6.....

S.C.o.T's Blower thats being Turbo fed, to a pretty much stock Chrysler Slant 6...... -Last I knew, this engine was getting like 545 HP..... Not sure if its still going or not, (I know the guy that built it online) and was pretty impressive in an old '62 Dart I think he put it in!

  8. I have to say Mike is right on the mark I've traded with John a bunch of time and have an ongoing trade with him and he's has always been more than fair on our deals and comes highly rated as a trader with me!!!

    vince

Thanks Vince! Like I said with my reply to Mike, I do my best to be fair and go above and beyond (specially if the trade is a really good one!) so..... And with you & I we been trading all the way back to around 2012 (if I remember correctly!) So..... ongoing trades are always a good thing!

  9. John,

As someone who has done this sort of trade with you (sealed kit for resin/turned aluminum parts) Its really a bummer to hear this happened to you as thru our trade everything was on the up & up and  agreed upon. And you even kicked me a couple extras And if I ever run across any more MOPAR kits you are the first one I'm contacting for a swap

    Mike

Thanks Mike..... Yeah its terrible how some people are, what do ya do? Warn others and move on.....  I try my damndest to be fair, and make it worth the other person's while, that way they'll trade with me again! -Just how I am! A little slow at times due to my issues with my hands and all, and pay check periods, but other then that I try to do my best!

  10. I wouldn't just do a "6 Cylinder" area..... I'd simply do an all around "Engine" area..... As they do make "Large Scale" engines that have no car! (Can you imagine the sheer size of a '70 Coronet Super Bee?) -To fit the 1/4th scale Hawk Models 426 Hemi into it? LOL HUGE scale model (BUT, I bet it be fun as hell to build and detail!)

  11. So this is basically an exchange of modeling items (kits, parts, supplies, etc.) estimating their worth and trying to do an even swap (value-wise).  I have never done that and it sounds like trouble to me (since the price estimate can very from person to person). Unless the specifics were discussed and agreed upon before the swap, I wouldn't even attempt such a transaction.   This "I'll take a car body for 2 engine castings" thing just doesn't seem like something I would be interested in doing. But from what John said, he has been happily doing this for some time. However as shown here, eventually one is bound to run into the situation John is in.  Sorry to hear about it, but not surprised.

Pete sadly I wasn't looking any sort of "Analogy" I was mere stating what went on within the trade..... EVERYTHING "was" in fact discussed & agreed upon, or so I thought.....

Also, I wasn't looking to get any sort of "surprise to everyone" its a MERE WARNING to others that do the same as I do! God, why do people have to over-complicate things.....

  12. Yeah Dan I know.,... I'm so caught up in making resin parts and all right now I haven't done much else in over 2 months, but... work before play, so..... When I'm caught up with the resin stuff, and the Billet Aluminum stuff I'm making, then I'll be back to model building.... BUT the work I'm doing now is what justifies and pays for the models I'll be building later!

  13. The guy I named "Santa Chas", or his other name "Mopar Charlie", (same guy) going around saying to people he didn't get what he "wanted" from me..... -Sadly I think & feel he got more then enough to cover my end of the trade, but he feels he should have gotten $50 to $75 more worth of my resin in the same trade!

  14. Just thought if I got burned and he's gonna give me a bad rap on it, I made my end as best as I could..... with no list? I did the best I could! Type guy theres no pleasing him and then refuse a list and then want a bunch more then he already got? Yeah, want something for nothing, makes it a bit difficult to blame me when I tried....

And yes other DO pay Cash....... I'm just GLAD I'm not one of them........ what I sent him was well over $100 worth! And in his last message, wanted something to the tune of $50 to $75 more!

  15. Guys,
I've been a LONG time trader, and in my recent encounter with a guy by the name of "Santa Chas" or as he recently changed his name to "Mopar Charlie" BE WEARY! I did a long trade with him, and then when I simply asked for a "list" he refused, and then, goes on to say WELL you forgot what I wanted, I ASK EVERYONE I trade with for a list, as long lists, and 100's of them any one of mind is not set to keep that kinda count, and those that can, have a gift!

SO I simply sent the guy ALL I had set aside for him, 14 engines, 3 of them were actual kit plastic, the rest were my resin, and then to top it all off several other things that fit into his building types as well as Aluminum turnings for super detail work, that wasn't good enough! I was asked by him WHY I didn't send him another engine type, and some details to turbo charge them, and I simply said to him, if you had provided me a list, shortcomings like this would have been avoided! He got all mad, was gonna leave the forum it took place in, and then sens me a nasty message, and says he never "refused" anything.....

BE WEARY trading with him, as it seems nothing is EVER good enough! AND to add to it, I offered to send him the stuff missing, and then talked with the administration of that forum that I have no contact with him, and NOW refuses to make anything "right", or even allow m too............ And to boot will make comments on any forums on it not mentioning a name.....

ALL I got in return was 2 model kits one NOT complete that he said was and some parts! -I think I did him well..... He thought otherwise! Can't please everyone and seems to be the kinda guy no matter you just can't please him! BE CAREFUL! And then he goes on to give me a "Bad Rap" over it!

-Just thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention!
