  3. Thank you, Russ. I appreciate the pics, as it gives me a better idea of the motor they are using. It looks similar to the fan assembly on a computer tower. Not sure how long you have had it, but the fan blades look pretty clean. Also, I noted that the filter material, sits between the frame and the grating, have you been able to clean the filter, or have you replaced it? Is that turn table one that you supplied?   4. Hey Guys, I'm working on a 1/18 Diecast 31 Ford Sedan Drag car, and want to scratch build a wheelie bar setup for it. I've formed one bracket out of plastic, for the rear axle housing, but don't want to make another over and over again Can anyone recommend a starter mold making kit? Never did any mold making to produce small parts, so I hope someone can steer me in the right direction. Thank you. Cheers, Lance

  7. Hey Guys, I'm thinking of buying a manufactured paint spray booth. I've read some previous topics on this, but wanted to know if anyone has this particular booth. I like that its already made, professionally done, and portable. After pricing the necessary materials to make my own, $79.89 seems relatively cheap, for one already done. I'm looking for feedback on this Master portable hobby airbrush spray booth kit. #MASB420DCK. I have limited space, so this portable unit should fit my needs, and I don't paint that often.   13. I have BMF that's 17 years old, and still works well. I do keep it in its original envelope, so not sure if that helps. I do have some newer sheets,(5 years old)but trying to finish off the(really old) stuff. I burnish it with a Q tip, cut along the trim line, and use a toothpick to get the edge of the excess up, and pull it off. It always works for me Cheers, Lance

  17. Hey Guys, I'm working on a 1/18 diecast 31 Ford Tudor Sedan, that I'm turning into a Drag car. Maybe late 60's, early seventies vintage. On a few of my early Diecast Altereds, there seems to be no sign of an engine cooling system. Is this correct? I realize that its a short 1/4 mile run, but these engines can create heat mighty fast, and it doesn't seem like the air running by it during the run, would be enough. I want to make sure that my build is correct. Does it need a radiator? The 31 is running an older Hemi, with twin blowers. Thanks for any help. Cheers, Lance

Your head badge is probably too thin for Brazing, I've done brass, and copper Brazing, and the metal you are brazing, has too be red hot, for it to flow, and you have to worry about warpage and melting, depending on how thin the material is. Its probably, a stamped plate, right? Have you considered making a mold? Cheers, Lance
  20. Although its been around for a long time, I try to ignore it. But mixing a low rider, and a barn find has only given this style of Hot Rodding more exposure. While there are some cool examples out there, I'll stick with enjoying the Traditional beautiful looking Hot Rods. "Keep the shiny side up" Cheers, Lance

  23. I agree, the photos with the tape holding the top in place, looks really good. I stopped the video, right at the point the rear of the vert top was showing to look at the angles. It looks like your on the right track. Cheers, Lance

  25. I have two of the headband type, and find them to be very helpful. Also, because of the different light settings, and because the light face is adjustable, it can be directed right onto the object you are working on. This works especially well for those of us who wear prescription glasses. Cheers, Lance
