  1. Complete collection? That is quite a lot of cars . This one looks good, I really like the color. What is it?
  2. Well I put a new coat of primer on it. Now I can see where I need to sand down a couple more seams. I thought I got them all before but I missed a couple.
  3. What color do you plan on painting them? The skull shifter looks very cool.
  4. Looks really good. It reminds me of those sprint car races they have on tv. To post more than one pic you just have to put the IMG tag from the photo in the post. Like if you use photobucket they give you the IMG tag. I'm not sure if you uploaded yours from a file or off the internet. Just put the IMG tag from each photo in the reply thing.
  5. Thats a cool idea. All I have is a cardboard box. Do you have any pictures of that dune buggy in the background? It looks nice. Is it a VW or Manx? Or something else?
  6. Thats what I thought it was, but some of the reflections in it made it look red or brown. But it looks good black.
  7. Thanks. It took me a long time to get it to fit without the bristles at the top leaning into the middle.
  8. Is that black? It kinda looks like a really dark dark red or brown in some photos. I think it might just be reflections though.
  9. I have already painted the interior beige/tan and black. I just have to touch it up a little. For the exterior I was thinking of painting it a not to glossy shade of white and putting some type of black decal on the side. Also using the black decal through out the whole car so it kind of has one theme.
  10. I didn't like the grille so I decided to make my own. I also made a radiator that you can see through. It will look better once I put some filler on the spots where I cut to deep. This is the new stance of the car with the rear and front lowered. Its not exact because the rear end isn't in but its close. Here is what the car will look like somewhat. Here is the motor through the grille. Its just a mock up so it doesn't look perfect.
  11. Looks good, it's a cool idea. Do you have any pictures of your 1:1 blazer? Also what kit is that? I've been looking for an 80's chevy kit.
  12. Thanks for the info and whats WIPs? No thats not my car but it looks somewhat like mine except mines all black.
  13. I haven't been able to work on my model cars for a long time since I've been working on my actual car. But now I have finally started a new project. It was originally going to be like what the picture on the box shows but now I decided I wanted to change it. So I took it all apart since it was half built and I cut up the frame. I plan on notching the rear so I can tuck up the axle so it will be lowered. I haven't figured out how to drop the front yet. Here are some pictures of my notch. If it works then I am going to see if I can melt it together so its flush. Also this is the first time I have every tried something like this. I have the seams all sanded so the body is somewhat flush. I plan on keeping it white and putting a decal on the side. They don't match up perfect but Ill fix that later. This is just a mock up.
  14. Looks good so far. The custom springs are really cool.
  15. I get real bored if I work on one model at a time. So I normally work on two at a time so if one is drying then I can work on the other one. I also like to go to car shows to get an idea for a new project. Another thing I like to do is to go to a hardware store or craft store and look around and find cool things that might work on a model car like I just some fake jewels that look realy cool on the rims of a car. Also I like to try and mix paint to get a new color or try to make the paint look different on a car like spraying a car black then standing far away and spray it with gold so it has gold sparkles in it. I find that just making something different from the box art and using parts from other kits makes it fun.
  16. Thanks for the help I guess I'll go out to my hobby shop and see if they have those.
  17. I have the good guys 32 ford, it is the one with the flames on the box art. I also went to a hobby shop to look for engines and they had lots for muscle cars like the 440 six pack but they were all $25.00  I am looking for an engine you can buy and built then put in your model so it is a custom one.
  18. Here are some more pictures. I have the motor built which needs some touch ups here adn there. I also have painted the inside of the car but paint went through the tape and got on the outside. But luckly I found the same color in a bottle so now I can use a brush on it. I am also painting white diamonds on the seats so they will look better.
  19. I got this new kit called 32' Ford by Revell but it has a little engine in it and I wanted to pu ta big engine so it's kind of like a rat rod and I was wondering where could I buy a new one? Maybe one with more parts so it's more realistic.
  20. I used primer but I might need to put more coats on. I also sanded the bubbles and excess paint and resprayed it and it worked. I could have stripped it but I couldn't find any more bottles of that color spray paint. I think my main problem was spraying when it was a windy day. Thanks for your help guys.
  21. I just bought this car and after priming it and then painting it I am already having a problem with it. I bought some purple metallic Model Master paint which is the only kind at this one hobby shop I went to. I sprayed the car and it looked like an amazing paint job but after I let it sit for a couple hours then the paint ran down the side of the car and bubbled. So how would I fix this?
  22. Just wondering if anyone knew of some clubs or events in the Oakland county area?
  23. That looks really good in that metallic red-orange color. I also like the reflections on the table.
  24. Here is a model I made and it is a Chevelle drag car. I used a Nascar roll cage and seat for the inside of the Chevelle. It is good but not amazing. It also has shaved door handles and there isn't anything inside of it except the seat, dashboard, and roll cage. Some pictures are bigger than others because they look better bigger. I tried all the settings on my camera to get better photos and I think it worked.
