  1. John, i did a 73 GTO but the mold is wearing out and the detail is getting fuzzy. I have not made a new mold and that's why I have not put any out for awhile. The molds are expensive and time consuming to make and I have been too busy to do casting for awhile.
  2. People post things and never contact me. I'll see a post occasionally but rarely get messages. That's why we have a message board.
  3. Looks like the Hemi "Rat Roaster".
  4. A little auto touch up and some Rust-Oleum clear lacquer. Cheap. dries quickly and good shine. I know Tim likes 2K urethane but that's a little overkill for me.
  5. Anyone remember Falls Cities? (use your imagination to replace "cities").
  6. That was usually the after effects of too many.
  7. Send me a PM. I don't have my stuff on the web or Facebook.
  8. I saw that- funny name for a sponsor "Debt Enhancer". Not a great marketing department but an interesting car.
  9. Here is another one hit wonder (the car, not the driver). This was evidently a one race only Buick Century driven by long time race driver Jim Hurtubise. It is the only photo I can find (Getty Images) from Daytona in 1979. My own resin NASCAR Century, stretched T Bird chassis, 10 hole wheels and tires from the T Bird kit (Elliott Coors) and some random touch up paint from my garage. NASCAR engine from an Olds kit. My usual plumbing and detailing just because I like doing it. Decals from my printer (they are pretty simple).
  10. Those torsion bar chassis were pretty simple!
  11. Here's another example, a 75 LeMans. The body appears to be based on the longer wheelbase Monte Carlo (the area in front of the wheel wells is way too long). The interior and chassis are exact copies of a Jo-Han 75 Cutlass. Body all wrong, interior all wrong for this car as well as the general body shape. Caveat Emptor.
  12. He produces a lot of castings and generally starts with the same platform. He does 73-77 GM A bodies like a Buick Regal and Pontiac LeMans and bases them off the Revell 77 Monte Carlo kits. The wheelbase is wrong for the LeMans and Regal (too long), which anyone who knows the cars can see in the pictures and he generally just copies the Monte Carlo interior tub, seats, dash and chassis (again, all wrong for those cars). I can't tell the quality of the castings but he is doing a lot of cars. To me, these are not just small detail errors but pretty big ones. it appears that the same might be true for this Cutlass that he is using one platform but not too concerned about accuracy.
  13. Thanks, Mark. I have the hardest time with photos on Randy's site. They have to be loaded in url form from a secondary site. I used to have a Photobucket site and then they got crazy so I went to another free site and it is hard to get the loads right. This site is much easier because I can upload directly from my computer. I also love these obscure builds and I just thought this looked cool.
  14. I was waiting for the master's evaluation. Thanks!
  15. This one started as one picture of a 73 or 74 Buick Regal raced out west by Perry Cottingham. Some of his cars used Kenne-Bell Buick engines from what I've read. This is the only picture we know of of the car so some poetic license is here. My own 73 Buick Century resin body with a modified front end to look like a Regal. Coors T Bird chassis stretched. Seat modified to look like earlier models. The dash was modified to fit. Buick 455 from a Monogram Buick GSX. Resin B-O-P bellhousing and Muncie trans from Forward Resin. Acetate windows. Scratch built plumbing. PPP wheels and Monogram tires. Ink Jet decals I printed (which don't look great). As close as I can get with one picture.
