  1. I'm pretty sure Scenes Unlimited has those wheels and tires.
  2. Cut myself off..... but with some better cutting, a little more time with the spacing... sanding and filing i think its gonna be very close once painted or foiled
  3. Might be an option to fix the rear if you want to keep the trim and have it correct..... a quick mockup using white glue and .020 round (the round looks better than the square IMO) I need to spend more time with it but i figure it is close... maybe some better cut
  4. Has anyone tried to scratch build the trim that should be behind the rear wheels? I've been looking at it maybe a sheet of styrene, then scoring it? Just not sure if there is anything thin enough... I'm going to try a couple things... if it looks half decent I'll post pics..
  5. I just got it and noticed this too..... the '72 steering wheel should be the '71 style steering wheel? If i'm correct? These are the small things when dropping $35 for a kit are a tiny bit annoying. I assume this is made from the 69/70 because of the short bed.... but they have the 302 in there which is new.... so that is just poor quality control / oversight / rushing etc etc I love the moebius kits and the quality is great so to me it makes these little hiccups stand out more
  6. I ended up cut the bumper from the grill of the '72 Fleetside pick up to make the correct bumper..... now I'm working on the wheels. I had a couple extra front wheels with the 4 x 4 hub with the 6 lugs... so I drilled them out with a 1/8" drill bit and glued some 1/8" rod styrene in the hole setting it back a bit so I have proper 6 lug wheels in the back... It is driving me nuts though... all the pics I see of the '72 blazer with the 4 x 4 stock rims (painted white).... they don't look as deep as these..... The spare that is included with this (even though it is 5 lug) looks like the proper depth the rims should be.?? Anyone notice or am I nuts. Is there a better kit to source the wheels from?
  7. I wanted to bump this. This would make a good thread to sticky if we can compile something. A list of kit tires, aftermarket tires etc..... I've been pouring through this forum and the aftermarket sites and trying to decide what I want to use for the 70s era funny cars I have lined up to build. Seems the Revell tires from the new Hawaiian and Chi Town Hustler models have the best / accurate tires as far as fit, but the shiny vinyl stinks and doesn't hold dull coat (I'm sure I applied it wrong ha) Haven't experimented with the AMT drag slicks but the ones I have that came with a couple kits.... the pad printing looks cracked / not well done I'll take some dimensions on the revell tires later
  8. What thickness styrene did you use? The thickness of mine is what I think is throwing me off.
  9. Does anyone make a rear spoiler extension for the 70s era Vega funny cars in 1/25? I know comp resins makes a 1/16.... I would even take good dimensions. I've tried to make my own but they stink...... Look too thick or too big. Trying to make a jungle jim and setzer vega and it seems they ran with em. Any help would be appreciated
  10. What did you make the extended rear spoiler out of? Been driving me nuts seems all of these cars have them. The ones I've tried to make are either too thick, too clunky. Does anyone have proper dimensions? Tricks? Thanks
