  1. The rendering isn't scaled of course and when I look at the picture and the designers description doesn't appear to be chopped, however the appearance does give note to a newer Mustang roofline perhaps a 2014. I have made an appearance modification to the side windows and windshield by adding a strip of plastic along what was the top edge to give a "chopped" appearance. It's subtle, but it does give the roofline a updated look Before After
  2. Wow! Simply beautiful Steven... Nice work... Making me want to finish my '63 GP I started several months ago
  3. Nice work on the decals... I hate laying down decals, I will probably never build this kit for that reason, so you have my respect...
  4. Just a quick build that wasn't going to be as I was given this AMT kit and thought I would never build it. I used the body as a Paint test to try out some variations. After polishing it I thought maybe one day I'll finish it. It sat on the bench for several months then I received the Molotow Chrome pens and decided to use it to test the pens. In 5-minutes I had all the chrome trim done and decided I might as well finish it. No BMF on this one. Still will use BMF for trim on big builds, but for these quickie builds the chrome pen is just fine. This is not a very well detailed kit so I decided to "curbside" build it as a showcase piece. It turned out okay I suppose for a a build I never intended to ever build. Paint is Duplicolor Torreador Red Metallic with Duplicolor Effects pearl clear. Bottom is Universal black. It's hard to see how nice this paint looks from a photo-light-box, but I will say it's gorgous in sunlight.
  5. Well done! The paint and color is perfect for this.
  6. South of Denver in Highlands Ranch, you? Thanks for the input on the hood.... It has to be that bulky due to the massive motor I'm stuffing into it. The scoops are evolving still, I'm working on adding some contour lines to visually bulk it down a bit. I'm also going to have a unique stripe that will also minimize the "Mopar flavor" appearance.
  7. Her sister Eleanor got upset and ripped it off.... I haven't set the jambs and hinge yet for the passanger door. Maybe this week I'll have both operational then start on the ground effects splitters and such. Wanting to get this in primer soon. Custom chassis and interior set too. This will be a long build... shooting for mid-April completion maybe, depending how good the skiing is here in Colorado and how much time I spend in the mountains
  8. Worked on fine-tuning the hood appearance factor. Added a center lip and formed the openings... I invite comments on the hood design so far
  9. Very nice. I see you worked on the headlight glass for a better fitment and filled in the molding parts gap at the door edge. Well done..
  10. Just awesome... One of the nicest of this kit I've seen, great work on this one
  11. Nice.. Interesting color combo, really snaps.. Was this a factory color option, I don't know much about factory paint schemes, just curious..
  12. I've used duplicolor Adhesion spray to block plastic color from bleeding through on light colors. You can buy it at most any autoparts store.
  13. Agree! Joesph is awesome. I ordered some tire decals and asked him to print some custom decals from his better printer, honestly could not be more pleased with how fantastic they came out and how quickly he created them and mailed them. Top-shelf guy!
  14. Oh it's going to have a lot more body mods, using this as my guide. Front airdam, side-skirts and rear diffuser all tying in the bodywork. These ground effects though will be added after paint like a real car.
  15. Well done, would like to see more pics. I have this original MPC kit in my to be built "Hot Wheels" Sweet 16 tribute builds. I paid a lot of $$$ for my kit, looking forward to building it as nice as yours
  16. Thanks Richard, I appreciate the comments and yes, this build is a wild one and I'm careful to not take proportions out of alignment to the entire design. The Ragle design has a small, almost stock scoop that didn't look right to me, so I've pumped it up. Notice the hood design isn't far off from the actual Eleanor bump. I needed to increase the height and added the air-intakes for the twin air-flow units. I'm very happy with it so far. Oh yes, the full ground effect treatment will be coming soon as to front airdam and splitters along with side splitters that will integrate with the wheel vents and chassis. The rear will also have a custom diffusser integrated to the rear wheel vents
  17. Decided on an insane engine for "Lenora" the PSYCHO sister needs a wild power-plant. Clearly Scale masters a 351 5.7L twin "MonsterCharger". It's huge to say the least, it just fits the personality of this car I think. Needed to cut away a big opening in the stock hood to make clearance and while I'm not a fan of things sticking out of hoods, its going to be covered with a very modified '68 Shelby twin scoop hood. It's raised, a lot... This is just the first layer of the molding in process, it will be formed and smoothed. Will use a mesh screen behind the openings.
  18. Hey randy, saw this on FB and this just turned out awesome, great work on this one...
  19. This was one of my first builds coming back to building models after 40+ years. I owned a brand new one of these 92 Grand Prix's, my first new car. My dad always owned Grand Prix's. Just a quick build from a year and a half ago, nothing special but it's an exact duplicate of my old one. Just updated the wheels, I finally found some scaled BBS wheels that the car came with factory, so this is stock build, very rare from me.
  20. Cut the doors out and designed a new way to hinge with the door realistically opening into the panel
  21. Excellent work on this custom. Just right...
