  1. The way I did the film was to send it in and have it developed, not pull it out of the roll. When it comes back from developing you will have the negative strips to use as windows. Also, if you know of anyone with old microfiche machines and fiche you can use them for limo dark glass.
  2. The MANN engine is the new MaxxForce 11 & 13. I work for a dealer and we have sold several ProStars with the engine. Navistar will no longer have Cummins engines in our trucks. We are staying with the EGR emissions system and Cummins is going to the way of SCR that uses a urea type fluid to contribute to emissions control. Our EGR system will not use this system, saving weight, and money the way our engineers see it. As was said earlier, Caterpillar is no longer in the "automotive" engine business. I think there is some info @ www.internationaldelivers.com. Can't wait for the Lone Star kit to come out!
  3. Thanks everybody. White primer seems to be working real well so far. Going to try gloss white later on some other samples.
  4. What do you guys lay down before using pearl white? I'm using Testors rattle cans for this one.
  5. ERTL 4300 Transtar, 2 37 Ford Streetrod kits all for $20 in the scratch & dent pile. Nothing damaged but the boxes. Going for more later.
  6. My, how lucky I am!! I work for a dealer here in Illinois and have been lucky enough to basically crawl all over it. I am very impressed with the truck. For a look at some pics you can go to www.internationaldelivers.com. There are some shots there. Going price for the high end is in the 140k range. Some can be had for around 122 for daycab models. If a kit does come out you can bet I'll have a couple. Also, a Harley-Davidson limited edition of 250 are being built. These are really sharp!
  7. Went to my LHS today to see what may be there in the "scratch & dent" area. Well, well, well, a new Revell Nova, Revell Alaskan Hauler Peterbilt, Revell Scania wrecker, and a Hasagawa VW 23 window van. Only parts missing were tires and chain/tubing from Alaskan Hauler. Total price......$50.00. I rarely buy new kits when they first come out, I wait for the returned stuff to show up and get it then. I have over 400 total boxes, most of them from the S&D aisle. Guess I'm kinda lucky.
  8. Tim, on your site in the build of the brown & burgandy Pete is says to go to Trucker's Corner in Model Cars Magazine for details on how to cut down the sleeper. Where is this article? I can't seem to find it. You do awesome work. I used to work for a Pete dealer and I too, have the Pete bug, not as bad as you, but still have it. I work for an IH dealer now and catch ###### all the time for m love of the Pete, especially a nice 359 127". Thanks for the good stuff.
  9. Hello, new around here. I'm looking for a cab for the AMT International Transtar cabover kit. Anyone know where I can find one that's affordable?
