Definitely a Lindbergh kit, I have one in progress in addition to the AMT. Cautionary warning here, I got ahead of myself and installed the interior on the chassis only to find out the body will NOT fit over the firewall. There is also a small issue with the body fit because of interference with firewall dash windshield. I'm more accustomed to that on Revell kits. This is one of my favorite kits.
Since we're talking Buick here, is anyone aware of a 65 Skylark in resin, styrene or 3d printed? 65 Skylark GS was my first car back in 1970, been searching for a model for many years. Following this build.
If it's not too late, you might try parts from AMT's 62 Bel Air kits. Their were several versions a while back. That kit is a modern design with all separate chassis parts you could use the entire chassis with a little work and the firewall fits the 63 kit. I did a quick mockup and it's almost a "bolt in".
I have used MCW lacquer frequently and they recommend their lacquer primer because their paint is a bit hot. I have used their primer which works very well, but I'm just little cheap so I use Duplicolor color automotive primer. I've not had any problems with either primer. I don't believe that the Mr hobby primer was designed for lacquers. Now if I could just figure out their enamels, whole different story. Really nice 66 you've got in work. Make it beautiful.
One of these kits is for sale on Modelcar Marketplace (Facebook) posted on 1/19 by Abel Munoz Hermosa. $50 + shipping. It is still available. I recently purchased a Fiat 500 Abarth kit from him that I had been searching for for a year. Good guy to deal with.
I have been building models since 1958, yup, I'm an old guy. I have seen a lot of builds and many of them are top line.
This car flat stopped me in my tracks! It is the most appealing hot rod I have ever seen! I hope someone out there builds a 1:1 .
Kudos

Paolo, you have obviously forgotten everything you knew about custom building models. 25 yrs is a long time . May I suggest a,Snap kit to get you back into the hobby? Don't need to wait for finished pics to see this is gonna be spectacular!
I'll wait for the price to drop (substantially) then build it curbside. I'm more excited about the late October Round 2 releases, especially the Century Coronado boat.
