  1. Thanks Ed,and it's off to the department store for me
  2. What size wire should I be using to make battery cables and to replicate the springs on shock absorbers ? I'm talking 1/24 scale ,the Ice-T model car to be exact. Thanks in advance
  3. I'd be all in on a Danica Patrick model
  4. Thanks for that link, not sure I could do those level 3 kits "justice" yet. That's ok though as I really do like that Pie Wagon as a next kit . Being a fantasy type of vehicle will let me play around with things a little.I'll just file the idea of a real top fuel car till I've developed a little more skill.
  5. I would want it to be as accurate as possible,my OCD would demand it, but I have nowhere near the skills needed to make the parts you described. Oh well I'm sure I'll see something that strikes my fancy. I kind of like the Tom Daniel's "Pie Wagon" as maybe the next project. Thanks for the info
  6. I watched the NHRA event yesterday on TV,way more interesting than football, and my question is ;are there any models available of the cars I saw yesterday? I like the top fuel dragsters best and I really liked the C&J energy services car. Just curious to see if I could get model of that one .Thanks
  7. Going to the hobby store today to pick up the right glue to use for models. Am I suppose to get the thin or thick CA glue and is that kicker worth getting while I'm there? I don't get down there too often so I'm really looking forward to getting model #2 going as well.
  8. Thanks guys,I'll try to pry off the valve covers thinking I can get away with taping the rest.Building this is really slow going but I am enjoying the process
  9. I did something stupid and glued the chrome pieces to the engine before painting it. Ireally don't want to pry the chrome pieces off but I'm not sure if I can get tape into all the little nooks.I'm kind of stumped here and any help would be appreciated .Thanks
  10. This is just amazing to me. I'm not speechless often but....
  11. From my favorite singer" But even if the stars and moon collide,I never want you back into my life, you can take your words and all your lies....
  12. Yes,I'm thinking of starting a 2nd one. I've been looking at Bandai Star War themed ones Tell your wife it's fun I started with a level 2 kit but wish I had started with a level 1.
  13. I'll pick that glue up.I only have so much time to spend doing this ,hate to spend it waiting on glue to dry.I'm enjoying this a lot and starting to understand why so many of you have multiple projects going on at the same time. Thanks again
  14. Thanks folks I'll try to hold off on working with these parts till tomorrow. i did check pics before posting the question about header colors but was hoping anyway,I'll go with a flat white instead
  15. How long do I have to wait after gluing parts together can I start sanding and filling seams? I'm using the red tube of Testor's model glue. These are the parts I had to de-chrome and I have one other question about them,do they really need to be painted the same colors? They are headers and a rear end that I'm working on.The kit is the Infini-T and I thought trying a candy-apple red on the headers would look nice.I love those candy apple colors but would it just look stupid ?
