Hello All
Not sure if anyone can help? I have two questions in regard to Tamiya's Blackbird
1/ Does anyone know if someone makes or does an updated set of decals? I am trying to replicate my personal bike, which is a later version then Tamiya produced
2/ Does anyone have any tips on creating slots in plastic? I know I can drill & cut. I will do this as a last resort, but someone might know an easier way to make a slot that neat & even
Thanks

Hello
you could try blue stuff decals. They do after market decals. They are based in France. I haven't had any issues with them. Thanks

Hello Everyone
I am just wondering if I may impose for some more help. As far as I can tell, the 1990 Raybestos Buick is red, not metallic blue. I have decals for the red one, which explains why nothing matched. My question is does anyone have any suggestion on the red? It looks like a flat red from the one photo I have seen. Does anyone have any ideas on a closer match then flat red? Thanks

Thank you all for the help, it looks like grey, with flat red netting, but happy to stand corrected.

Hello All
Have all 80's NASCARs had the grey chassis? Or do the colors vary? I am looking at Raybestos Buick, but it would be handy to know when painting other NASCAR's. Thanks

Hello All
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the body on the chassis of the Revell Christine pro-mod? I cannot get it to sit right at all. Thanks

Thank you all, The Tamiya bikes are really good to build, I have had a go at the Bimota Tesi, which fought me a little with older decals & a couple of operator errors. I also did a Ducati 916, which came together nicely. The paint I used was Tamiya Lacquer paint Mica blue (LP-41) Thanks all

Thank you all. So the answer is no. I am wanting to copy windscreens. I have tried parts wanted. I might try to bump it, as I did it over Christmas/new year period.
Hmm, Reasonable ability? I have always found something that should be easy is usually not. However I have a go will not loose me anything, so its probably worth having a crack.
Thank you all

Hello All
Thank you all for the responses, they are much appreciated. I am not sure I am ready to make a 100% accurate one yet...Maybe in the future, So at the moment the engine remains the same. However it is something that is good to know for a future build where I would like it to be accurate. Thanks

Hello
Would anyone know what color would the engine would be on the 1958/59 Plymouth Fury: Christine? Thanks

Thank you both, The color I have seemed to rich, but I think I will stick with it. As you have noted it's difficult to find photo's that dont end up being the box art. Even the You tube videos dont really have good images to decipher colors. I do understand that photography from that time might be a little low definition. However, it seems that they do indeed have window nets, just not the "NASCAR" style I was thinking. Thank you all for the help.

Hello All
I am after some guidance for the color on the Folgers IMSA mustang? Does it have a metallic sheen? Also does anyone know if they have window nets? If they do, what type? Thanks

Hello All
These are a few of my builds. After my last post, I realize how much the camera shows imperfections. I had trouble getting the lines right on the IMSA 7/11 Mustang. The ASA Camaro went OK. I have the Superflo Camaro & the Folgers IMSA Mustang on the workbench at the moment. Hopefully, they will turn out OK, thanks

Hello all
Thank you for the guidance. I thought it might of held oil. I never thought of using the wire. That's brilliant. I was imagining having to use the rubber tube/hose they use on the Tamiya motorbikes. Which would be hard to both get a good solid bond & a proper shape. Thank you all

Hello All
Does anyone make an after market tank hoses that sits between the engine & the rear wing? It has it's own tank. I am not sure what the tank contains? I think it's on the 90's & newer top fuel dragsters. The kit that I have, one of the hoses has snapped. I just wanted to see if there was an aftermarket or if someone has them spare? Before trying to make my own. Which I have learnt wont be nearly as easy as I think it should be!!!! Thanks

Hello All
Could anyone shed some light on the color of the '91 Joe Amato Valvoline top fuel, is blue or black? I suspect dark blue, but I cant find any evidence of the correct color. Also the piece under the blower (I think that's it's name?) Thanks

Hello All
Thanks all for the suggestions, all good. I am trying the Tamiya bright red, as I have this on hand & I couldn't find the guards red I thought I had. Thank you all

Hello All
I am wondering if anyone has some suggestions for an approximate Coca-Cola red. I am sure I read here somewhere that either model master Guards red or Italian red are close, but I cannot find the thread. Or does anyone else have suggestions? I have access to Tamiya, Humbrol/Revell & some older Model master paints. I use enamels, but can be tempted by the Tamiya lacquer paints. Thanks
