  1. Thank you so much for your guys input. Been really busy and meant to reply sooner. I findly received all of my order. ? Came in two separate shipments. when i received the first and saw i was missing a good amount, i jumped on the phone [ of course got the machine] and gave him a piece of my mind. He called back and gave me the reason...or reasons.? 1. covid 2. only him and one other person completing orders 3.post office problem in FL 4. had to wait for paint from Germany 5. He complained about gravity Spain [When i told him I'll be ordering from them] and how he's trying to ruin his reputation. Stating he gets his paint made up in Germany while Gravity Spain uses cheap chemicals for their paints. 6. Claims he has customers that tried Gravity Spains paint and came back to his because it has higher quality and in scale metallics paints. And a few others. Well, after almost another week, the rest of the order finally came? Too bad i was hoping it would of worked out. SO frustrating trying to find the right paint system to settle in with. That's the only thing i don't like about the hobby....having to look for that paint system that has the right color or in scale flakes. I'll be ordering some paint from Spain when the holidays are through and compare the metallic flakes. So many paints out there that use out of scale flakes. so annoying!!! Mike1017 i defiantly want to try the splash paints. I've heard of scale finish paint and would also consider. MCW finishes is good also. thanks again Guys
  2. hello everybody, Want to hear from follow modelers on there experience with buying or using gravity colors usa. i recently purchased some stuff from them {or him} a couple of weeks ago and still haven't received anything. First time i called him, was left with voice mail. but he called me back 5hrs later and said they are working on it now and would ship out the next or following day. well that was a week ago. Tried calling 3 other times with no call backs. last message i left i had basically stated I'm not likely to return as a customer. next day a received a email stating order has shipped. Mean while as i was waiting to hear from them...or him, i looked on BBB's website and WOW. all the same complaints. pretty much all Delivery issues and no communication. or every little. Im starting to think its some guy selling paints out of his apartment or storage unit. Its a bummer because i was hoping this would be the paint system i would start using. Many,Many colors to choose. As i also wanting to us Zero paints but to difficult to get here in the states. Please i would love to hear your experiences with this Company.

  10. thanks guys for the replies. aaronw, funny was just reading that link before i checked back here. lots of good info. if i can swing it, think ill be getting a dayton 1TDR3 gage fan w/ 273 cdm and mount it cross draft. still booth lining up in the air. thought of maybe putting two metal strips of steal on each sides so i could use magnets to attach paper.
  11. Hello, not sure if this is the right area to post this but i just had a question that i hope someone could shed some light on. im thinking of building a booth and work stand for my hobby room. been wanting to do this for awhile now. it would be nice to have my painting station in the same room as my work station. and be able to paint at any given time. after doing some reseach, i seen people use alot of different size motors and stlyes. seems squirral gage motors are the safest way to go. little spendy though. i couldnt find a standard rule of thumb when trying to pick a good CFM to have for a booth at a size 36Lx24Wx24.5H. i havent built it yet but thats the size i was thinking of doing. im planning on using both airbrush and rattle can in the booth. but, im also very new with airbrushing. dont know about the differences between the two as far as over spray. i asume rat can would be more. there must be a "rule of thumb" figure for a give square inch too come up with the right amount of air flow draw. hate to buy the wrong size CFM motor that either sucked all paint up before it hit the target, or not suck enough and have my house smell like a DuPont factory. it did seem that the low end was around 100CFMs and the highs around 250CFMs. so maybe 150-175CFMs would be good? any insite on this would be great. thanks for any replies.
  12. thanks guys. well i guess that would be closer than MEMPHIS. LOL
  13. oh wow...finally. hope his is going to work every time!
  14. i still can't get anything!!!! when using all the above methods. think one could spend more time here on learning how to load images, then actually building models.
  15. Been trying to insert photos the way i saw here in the forum. with no success. i use photo bucket and i understand you just copy the "direct" address bar in PB. I've tried just about everything i could think of. any help on this? i know it can't be this difficult to post photos. also, i have no image icon on the header here in the topic box I'm typing in. only been using the "insert other media/ insert image from ULR" button" thanks for any help, Dan

  18. Man.... very awesome job on the build. i wouldn't change a thing!!! well maybe the trunk section. but you could just shut the lid and be done with it. love the look, stance and color choice
  19. Hello fellow modelers Been back in the hobby about 2 years now. though i haven't completed much more than a couple cars. I think this time around i been spending more time researching and watching others wip's, that i haven't got much done with my stuff. Also, been trying to get my work shop set up better. But i think i need to just start getting something done as time allows, and the rest will work out later. What a great place for more resources! so many great builder out there. lots to learn from. Ive always been into automobiles since i was a kid. Dad restored old cars and showed me modeling when i was a young boy. and pretty much built them intel i was 16 years old or so. then like most here, girls and 1:1 cars came about. i also was watching and helping dad work on the real stuff, ever since i can remember. and then eventually my own cars. I loved going to car shows and swap meets. remember all the models for sell and bugging dad to buy one. wish i had some of my old builds and parts still. but i lost them after my first marriage. In high school i had the oldest car, a 51 chev. 2 dr deluxe with a 216, 3 on the tree. pretty much all stock except for chrome reverse rims and the paint. 6 volts and all. after that, always had a old ride. was not one to only stick only too, or favor one make or model. I've had chevs, fords, dodges ect. these days i own a 67 Ford fairlane 2 dr post club coupe sedan, with 55000 orig miles. never been restored and mostly all original with arcandian blue and 2 tone blue int. The most exciting thing about model building for me....and others I'm sure, is that we have the ability to build as many makes and models as we desire at a fact of the cost and time! I look forward to learning from all you guys here. just hope i can control myself from spending to much time looking and not getting anything done, LOL Thanks, Dan
