Is it just me, or has the site slowed down again?

Yes, It's annoying for sure. I have tried to click on this thing to get to the source of this problem. No results. It has made it almost impossible to use this forum for me. Yes is could have something to do with my I-mac and Safari settings, but it was never a problem before. -

This Add keeps showing up on every page here that I view, usually in two instances. One at the top of the page the other lower down on the same page. It never actually opens anything in the blank black box area, just a spinning (loading?) thingy in the center. It can be closed by clicking on the X. It does cause a stall if not closed down as far as I can tell. This is using an I-mac w/Safari. Is anyone seeing problem or is it just me? -
F1 Car Launches - 2017

I'm thinking (hoping) that Ferrari will surprise some. I am surprised how dull the Mercedes, Red Bull, Williams cars appeared at test. We will see. -

Force India is going pink. New livery here https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2017/3/force-india-unveil-startling-new-pink-livery-for-2017.html Race: Sun Mar 26. -
Thanx... This started life as the AMT 40' coupe. Its been sectioned in two places, front and rear wheels moved forward and of course channeled. The deck that wraps around in front of the trunk lid is actually pieced together from roof sections. The rear was widened just enough to match up with the belt line. I have tried just about every tire combination on hand. I think it would look better with skinny whitewalls in front an some kind of oversize cheater slicks in back. Still hunting for the right look.

Inspired by Bill(Ace-Garageguy) here is an old stalled project that I just pulled out. Was going to be a sort of Tom Daniel theme build, just could not figure out what to do with the front end, just something missing there. Also every model Tom designed had a theme, What do I do with this, (Crazy Uncle Of "Son Of Ford"?)

Often I get accused of doing things the hard way but here is a crude drawing of how I might tackle it. Should be self explanatory, and hopefully helpful. -

I'd say that looks pretty good. With a little more prep work it would probably look even better. Dose anyone have an Amazon link to purchase the real thing? Did search, but can't tell if what I'm looking at is the real deal. Wonder what it would look like with black base underneath. -

AFX, this offseason break has been the most tumultuous one I can remember sense I started paying attention to F1. I'm really ready to see any team take on Mercedes, I don't even care who as long as its McLaren-Honda So far the cars look fantastic, Its interesting to see how the teams interpret the new regs. -

Those do look the same the cobra 427 script matches as well as the clipped corners. Sadly no, just visits to the beach. Glenn, did you get a chance to look at the car up close? I can't find any photos showing how the interior was from the roll bar back. Oh... wait... maybe you shouldn't tell me, Ive already rebuilt that part three times. -
Using dental acrylics
STYRENE-SURFER replied to STYRENE-SURFER's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The only good epoxy I have is West Systems 105 resin w/205 hardener, it dries rather slow but is easier to sand when cured. But the expense and mess along w/slow curing time drove me crazy. Did some experimenting with Zap CA and micro balloons first then tried talc., worked much better. once you get them mixed together it actually seems to slow down the CA from drying to fast. The acrylic powder looked like something to try but to purchase it it looks like you have to buy a large container. The acrylic nail stuff I was not aware of, going to try it for sure. -

I discovered this old acoustic Jellyfish video. They were quite different than the rest of the scene going on at the time. 1993 Think power pop, great harmonies and allot of bubble gum. https://youtu.be/ZR0xOO8oP0c -

Looks great. I had this kit in my (build model and explode with firecrackers) youth. it was molded in a weird brownish gold color. It's rare these days no? Put a Miss Deal next to it and you have a nice piece of Revell drag racing history.

I have used Zap-A-Gap CA with talcum powder for awhile to fill in seams and what not, but the talc is porous and always needs a lick of straight CA to smooth things out. I found this video by Paul Budzic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaXWFM6zbLc Anyone using this technique?

Very cool. Now Im looking at my 1/25 AMT Double dragster kit in a new light. And that 34 ford Screamer would be a fun build in 1/25 using the snap kit as a starting point. don't forget to paint the parachute -
