  1. Interesting body color choice. Why did you choose it?
  2. WOW. That's incredible attention to detail. Fantastic job!
  3. I'm in Middlesex which isn't too far from the meet. For these meets, do just the builders go? family? friends? Thank you very much for the invite!
  4. They aren't cheap brushes but they're definitely not top shelf. And yes I'm using the small glass bottles. I will only be using the brush method for details and in the interior.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate the comments. As for painting the tail lights.... Is the testors paint translucent? And I already bought the testors glue that dries clear. Is there any special way to glue the headlights and tail lights?
  6. You've got my vote! I also love the snow on the windshield. That's some really good attention to detail.

PLEASE...Be BRUTALLY honest. I need critiques so I can get better! Don't hold back and perhaps leave some helpful hints on how to build better cars...
  8. As stated, I'm in an apartment. There are several dilemmas I face currently... It's getting colder in NJ. I'm new to painting models but I'm almost positive spray painting outside in this kind of weather (45 degrees) isn't good for my project. Can anyone chime in on that? Also, I'm starting a project right now. Of course there are a million small pieces. Do you have to sand all of them? Also, does EVERYTHING get primed? (I did wash everything in soap and water before I started the build) I use Testors enamel paints with a paint brush on the interior. I'm probably doing something wrong because when I paint the seats or large interior surfaces, the paint doesn't look uniform and it looks sloppy. I would love to learn how to airbrush but that's not even close to being in my budget now so I'll have to use spray cans and the enamel.
  9. love it! The wheels are nice too.
  10. Hello all! I'm a car enthusiast and have been for several years. I loved to modify cars but don't have the funds to do so anymore. I work full time as a paramedic. It's an incredible job and I love it! I recently had surgery on my ankle and I'm at home recuperating. I needed something to pass the time and I have artist ability as well as my affinity for automobiles. I used to make model cars but never realized how much depth there is going into a build until I youtubed some stuff. So, here I am trying to learn how to build correctly. It's a steep learning curve but a fun one. I've learned a plethora of information and realize that I haven't even scratched the surface of model building. I like to pick brains and ask questions. If there are any members here that are really good at this hobby and don't mind questions, please let me know. Thanks for the help!
