  1. The Hog Trailer is a Lindberg trailer with stake sides from an AMT Ford C-series. The round front is actually half of a sewer connector, just luck that it matches the sides so well.
  2. LOL, I have plenty of AMT tires for that! I hardly ever use kit tires anymore.
  3. I ran across this thread again and thought I'd add an update. This is the Studebaker I got from Curt at Frontier Resin. I had to use a little filler on the roof to even it out. I enlarged the windshield opening and it helped a lot. The interior tub had to be cut up and redone. The frame was scratch built from Evergreen plastic. Engine is from the AMT '53 Studebaker. The fuel tanks were scratch built as well. For the most part, I'm happy with the results. I've purchased several kits from him and always got good service, and replacement parts when I needed them. 4. I've found that a person can use the kit wheels with tires from Moluminum.com. Just have to trim off the ridge in the center of the wheel. I toss the kit tires in the trash, and that's saying something, as I rarely throw ANYTHING away.
  5. Tom, Great story, and a great build, especially considering how fast it was done! I'm glad that he was able to see and enjoy it, and share some more memories with you.
  6. Finally had a chance to do a little work on mine. The body will remain in primer until I make sure I have the right tire clearance. I've gathered a bunch of gear to put in the car, but I have to get the roll bar in there first.
  7. Looks like 30mm outside diameter, 14 mm inside.
  8. And, we're off and running! For the interior, I used the floorboards from the sedan delivery kit. That'll eliminate the rear seat and make it easier to add the roll bar and stowage area for gear and spare parts. I found a nice all terrain tire in the Lindberg Dodge Dakota kit, I'll use those with Chevy pickup wheels and the stock '47 hubcaps.
  9. Casey Comer has some nice fenders, and other parts as well. http://www.modeltruckbuilder.com/index.php?/store/
  10. Okay Rob, you talked me into this one. Looks like I'll be running a '47 Chevy coupe. How about #7?
  11. The transmission you're using there is an automatic. A good transmission for this build would be the one from the AMT Kenworth T-600. It used a Spicer 5 speed. I'll be watching this one, you are doing great so far!
