Absolutely beautiful. We should mate you with John Teresi to create a Supermodeler!
  2. I use the lense cleaning tissues (dry) and Future. Soak the tissue in Future and lay it on your part like a decal. Then paint it, clear it with a very, very slight tint of green or light brown. or keep coating with Future until it is smooth enough for you.
  3. My Mom had a '70 Olds 442 W30 convetrible,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yah it got borrowed A LOT!
  4. Is that "soot painting"? If it is I'm really dating myself!
  5. Where is the wing? The Hurst/Olds had a wing on the deck lid and it was an option for the W-30.
  6. here is one I bought at Harbor Freight that works great for small parts and different colors in one session. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...temnumber=93506
  7. Just an excellent build, I bet it's breathtaking when seen first hand.
  8. They are excellent, just plain excellent!
  9. Another great build James, but you left your shades on the dash.
  10. What an excellent build to follow. It's nice to see an out of the ordinary, but legendary car being expertly built and detailed.
  11. I have the same decal and car in my "to do" closet. Do you have a color picked out for the yellow yet?
  12. In places where a hot towel won't work I use a Q-tip. Dip the Q-tip in water and hold it on a hot soldering iron until it starts to steam the gently press the decal into position.
  13. Thank's guys, I forgot to mention the decals were aftermarket.
  14. Here is a Tamiya Ferrari F189 I built OOB. Paint is Tamiya TS-8. Thanks for looking.
  15. Cal, you can make it look like the fiberglass floor by using eyeglass lens cleaning tissue and Future. Use them like fiberglass and resin.
  16. I support my local hobby shop. I may pay a few extra dollars but they are there with what I need when I need it. If they don't have it they will special order it. I also enjoy leaning on the counter talking models with them, try that at a big store.
  17. How clever of you to paint a sewer lid to look like a penny! Seriously I looks great so far. I like the windows, I have want to try do do it but have not been brave enough to pull the trigger yet.
  18. Very very nice. Just the right amount of detail. I can't wait to see more.
  19. The Spazstix holds up pretty well to handling, I would'nt rub real hard but it will hold up to some handling.
  20. I'll add another vote for Spaztix spray. I get as good of result as I do with Alclad II with less clean-up.
  21. Thanks for the comments guys, it was a fun build.
