  1. 69-70 boss 429 mustang pulley assy ( revell)

Awesome Dr. Kerry......if you come across it just let me know and I'll send a SASE and whatever payment you desire...that little joker stopped my build cold In its tracks.....thanks buddy
  2. Hey guys...new to modeling and finally got all moved into my new house...set up my model room ( lots of batman comics and memorabilia too fyi) ,and sat down to build my very first big boy model. The 1970 429 mustang. Had one as a kid so figured this was a great model to start with..k..so started motor paint and assembly and was gluing happily away when I realized I was missing the pulley/can belt assembly. I suspect one of the cats had something to do with this mystery, but they aren't snitching..SO can anyone please help me find this part so my little boy dream can at least be realized? I will gladly pay for the part and postage PLUS I will post on the forums about the reasons why you are my hero when I needed help so badly!! Thanks all...happy modeling Shane in Illinois....the part of illiinois that isn't chicago.

  5. New to Modeling

Thanks Tony. I like a good challenge, sounds like I'm in for one! I'll keep you posted. As I've had a chance now to really dig into this site, there are A LOT of tremendously skilled individuals on here. It's gonna awesome to have such an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience to learn from! I'm pretty excited to get on with building!
  6. 1964 Ford Taunus 17M P3. Air Trax/Tamiya/scratch.

    WOW! just WOW.
  7. The General Lee and his alter ego

Really good looking builds. The real general could pass for 1:1 at first glance. I have a question I'm new to this so please understand. I was in Hobby lobby the other day and noticed on the box art deleted the Confederate flag (PC goes just plain stupid sometimes). What I'm asking is would the kit still have the decal inside? Was wondering the same thing about nazi insignia on German aircraft as well. If you know, clue me in; like I said, I am totally new to the Hobby. Thanks
  8. New to Modeling

Thanks charlie. Good tip. I'll try that first one i get unpacked and building.
  9. Love it! Definitely going on the wish list!
  10. New to Modeling

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Much appreciated! great tip right from the start! Thanks! Thanks so much for the offer Dann, that's gonna be my first build and I understand many of these old amt mercedes kits are infamous for being warped. Also the box was opened and all the parts were removed from the sprue, couple that with the fact that I'm gonna cut my teeth on that bad boy....don't be surprised to hear back from me!
  11. 427 Shelby Cobra

IMPRESSIVE! I have a LOT to learn!
  12. '69 Plymouth GTX; Hood Striping

Really nice work. Awesome root beer paint job! AndI'm LOVING the wood grain! Can you point me to a tutorial on that? I'd love to learn that technique! Thanks ahead of time EEL
  13. New to Modeling

Hi All, My name is Shane, I live in Indiana currently, but will soon be relocating to southern Illinois. I'm pretty new to modeling, I'm 43 and have built exactly 2 kits, and that was a few years back. I recently was looking for a better and more productive way to spend my free time, and realized just how much I enjoyed building that "donk" impala and Ferrari f40. A few weeks back, I was in a swap shop, and bought an Original amt 1954 mercedes 300sl from the mid sixties(?)...So I've decided to jump in with both feet and have been researching and shopping for everything I need to start out to take this Hobby seriously. I'm awaiting my packages from amazon and have made many trips to my LHS. I was glad to come across this site and have already learned so much from the different articles and how-tos. My currently lined up products are: the aforementioned Mercedes, a revell 1970 boss 429 mustang, a revell vette agin, and a sprukit joker. I have interest in classic European cars, exotics, and classic American muscle, as well as being a huge batman fan. I also am interested in militaria as well, particularly WWII. I'm really looking forward to doing some building, learning and sharing; both my builds and the builds of others on here..... Now if my amazon order would just show up! Happy building. Shane
