Yes, there was a kit that had Woodlites in it. I thought it was the "Bathtub Buggy", but not so. I simply cannot recall the kit name, but recall it being one of those "wild customs" of some sort. Just know that they did exist. I have a set in 1/25 that I stashed away for future use/casting, but would be hard-pressed to find them at the moment. If you are inclined to scratchbuild them, Google "Woodlites" and you can find a drawing out there. I just did.

Google the term "dog toob", spelled exactly as shown. Get a good dozen dogs in mixed breeds, pre-painted, and dang close to 1/24 or 1/25 to me.

Can anyone here help me with information regarding what trailers might have been pulled by the Ford C600-800 series cabs in the early 60s? Typical lengths? Interior details? Pictures? I'm a little at a loss on where to begin getting that kind of info. Any help appreciated.

Some more careful study has led me to think that these wheels are somewhat like a shallow version of the bell of a trumpet or trombone, both on the outside and inside. What say you gentlemen?

Great! More help. Many thanks. Now I get the outside contour much better. Now, what about the inside? I suspect that I will need to compromise that anyway because of the limits of making a part and casting it. (You did not seriously think I would do this without casting it, did you?) Of course, Art put another bug in my head with that seriously great photo of the artillery wheels too... Dang! Too many projects for the time alloted! Actually I love it. All helpful info guys. Many thanks. I guess my real question goes to the shape of the cross section line of the "dish" of the disc. I've never seen one of these wheels "in the flesh", so all I have is pictures. In cross section, is this wheel shaped like a shallow bowl - akin to a birdbath, for example? Or is it pretty much conical, with straight sides?

The recent thread regarding colors for the 1930-ish Packards, has once again tweaked my interest in these beauties. Out in the stash, I've got a bunch of those Monogram kits that need to be built. What I'd really like to do though, is a version or two that uses the disc wheels. So.....I'm looking for any kind of drawing or dimensional information regarding same. I can certainly turn them on the lathe, but don't know the details. Can anyone out there help? Many thanks.

One that has not been mentioned from Monogram is the Bugatti Type 35 B/C, depending on which issue box you're looking at. That one can be used to build so MANY Bugatti variants with a little kit-bashing and scratchbuilding. I'd love to see it get re-released sometime soon, and would buy a case in a heartbeat.

There was also an old Renault TN6C bus kit in 1/24 scale made by Heller a number of years ago. They show up on that auction place every so often.

Yup. I've got it too, along with the other two in the series. If I remember correctly, there were two (the Winton and a brass-era Ford fire truck) that were in wooden shadow boxes, and one (another brass-era Ford) in a plastic one, for a total of three. I can't look for my pics until at least Thursday, and god only knows where the kits themselves might be in the stash!
