  1. I see a future with this kit, and generally, all the kits have a limited run and then go out of production but not necessarily discontinued. I think they would add the Vette Rallys from the two door as a stock option. If ever it was a Coke product, it would be nice to see the green tinted glass. I don't mind the kit. I think it sold pretty well... and I know plenty of Non model builders who love the TV series who had to have it.
  2. Is the option to cover the side windows so it will look Dilerery-ish in the kit?
  3. @stavanzer As per the norm throwing shade at the 4th gen bodystyle... typical of many of Car enthusiasts unfortunately. I'm used to it but it would've been nice to see shiny paint and some attention to this being monumental as the last of the breed. Thanks for posting Chris' video. I chuckled at his vision and was really inspired. I think I'll buy a case now. 😁
  4. I momentarily forgot about the new Blazer coming out.😁 You are right, why re-pop the old tooling on the other hand, Re-popping old tools with new decals and boxart is pretty popular and seem to do well. I have the Madd Mudder and that top glass isn't included so why is it in the Pulled Pork kit? Just makes me think maybe that stock version is making a comeback too. I guess a guy can dream lol. I happen to like 24th scale because it's what I built when I first started building. I don't think the stock Blazer is long gone, I think it was misplaced and it resurfaced during the inventory process when Atlantis was buying old Revell tooling and Revell said we better hold on to that one. That's the story I imagine in my mind. 😆
  5. The glass indicates there may be a stock/full top version coming. The Beach Patrol kit is (maybe)the kit they want to use as a re-issue. I think if Revell does what they've been doing with old kits it would be successful. This was built from a glue bomb that was broken into 11 different prices. It was a project for sure.
  6. That's what I'm hopeful to see, the flat hood would be cool also. I think during filming atleast two cars were used, one had a flat hood and another had a Z hood. If the parts count is correct on the box we may only get the "film car" parts only. That's disappointing but understandable.
  7. Yeah, you might be right... I hope that it has a re-tooled hardtop body...that would be great. the body would be the "New Parts" they mention on the cover because I can't think of anything new they could put in the kit to match the film car. 🤔 license plates? I don't think that would qualify as new parts though... I grafted a top from an AMT 64 Impala onto this car in the early 90's. The shapes worked perfect. It was originally a Pro-street build then about 10 years ago I rebuilt it as a factory stock replica.
  8. The Mystery surrounding the upcoming release of this kit has got me wondering what exactly it will be... 1:24th according the box so must be the old Monogram tooling with maybe new hardtop body? Will it have all the racing goodies? 100 parts count so maybe? The Revell website indicates that it's 1:25th scale though. What are we getting? It's a mystery but I'm anticipating a great kit nevertheless because I liked the Monogram kit and I'll be happy no matter what it is.
  9. Where ya been on this project Mickey? I just scored a stalled/abandoned project that appears to have been started in the 70's or 80's... It's not completely accurate but I think it captures the concept close enough. I'm wondering if I should modern-day the thing or build it as a 60's custom backyard conversion?... say there was a kit you could buy to convert your 55 Nomad to the Dream Car design. I dunno, The Red glass is from the new Wompin Wagon...

  11. Yeah, he does or did at one time. I've bought gold and red before. The went on perfectly too.
  12. Being the Disco Nova Man I've been borderline extremist at times with this bodystyle. I've owned 19 of these cars myself. One of my pet peeves and done more often on custom painted 4th gens are stripes on the hood and trunk. This bothers me because there's too much real-estate from the center to the bodyline.. the stripes are either to wide or out of place if they're any narrow. I wasn't surprised to see hood stripes on the decal sheet. I'm sure I'll see many examples built with the stripes. So I better get used to it. I would've liked to have seen Rally stripes on the sides as an option. I'm still happy with the overall design, and maybe I'll incorporate those stripes on the side of the car somehow...
  13. I read a story years ago that indicated Monogram destroyed the tooling for the kit due to pending lawsuits filed by Scott claiming he didn't get the royalty he was promised. I didn't read the entire tread here but it may be in here somewhere. The real car just recently resurfaced after being hidden away foe decades.
  14. Great Build Tom... How Uncle Billy misplaced that deposit always bothered me... $8,000 was alot of money in those days. Of course George takes the rap for him, still holds up over 75 years later. I watched that movie every year in 80's... it was the only thing on at Christmas time as we only had 3 channels.😆
  15. All signs are pointing to a re-issue of the Foose 1:12th scale 69 Camaro. Although they're doing a good job of keeping the cat in the bag on the Boxart, I see the Revell website shows the specs and kit number for the upcoming release.
  16. This will give it the "Sleeper" look as well... The Maw-Maw Paw-Paw vinyl top automatically says you don't have anywhere to go in a timely fashion. 😁 l love it!
  17. As long as he paints the Rabbit White, it should be ok 😆
  18. I'm still deciding if I want to drop that kind of money on the wish list I have for the Monte Carlo. I'm looking at kitted LS engines and most are 1:25th scale I'm concerned the engine bay will swallow anything smaller.... and Revell still needs to make good on the decals also. In other news I opened my Revell 442 and the roof was smashed down so the body isn't usable for what I wanted to build, bummer. I'll have to go another way.🥴
  19. My friend Phil's Mustang definitely fits the Restomod theme! 513 cubic inch twin turbocharged fire breathing dragon!
  20. vehicles built from 1903 to 2004 are permitted.
  21. That would look Awesome, especially with the gold wheels. Good luck with it, that's alot of real estate.
  22. So literally Restomodding an old model build. Awesome Idea! I recommended the Rebuilders theme for the CBR so I'm interested is seeing what you do.
  23. My first order of business is to examine the contents of my build. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed but there are things I'll have to correct. The abnormal mold line in the top being one thing. I'm really happy to see the Tampo glass in some of the older kits. Nice Job from Revell to simplify some steps, these were always a PITB to paint when I was younger. Early start but I still have to gather my aftermarket parts to make this build over the top. I'll be using 21/22 Z Mags. These will make it more Factory Modern.
  24. Probably the best thing to do to the grill on that kit. These kits get a bad rap but there's small things you can do to improve it. It make a huge difference. Rock on!
