Helmut, great collection! Those are really cool. 😎

Jack Modelling refunds came through on ebay this morning. Placed a new order with USCP for Ferrari wheels. Ironic that I can get parts from war torn Ukraine but not from France. I had a vendor from Italy cancel on me as well. Another vendor from Italy told me their post office won't ship to the USA now. It's the Tariffs. Found a replacement vendor in the United Kingdom.

Much better without the washing machine tied to the trunk lid. 😀Beautiful, Geno.

These are nice diecasts. Franklin Mint offered both the Gullwing coupe and the roadster. Differences between the two are 1) wheels and tires, 2) full belly pan on the coupe, 3) of course the headlights are different on the roadster, just like the full size cars. The FM coupes have chrome wheels. The roadsters are painted centers, chrome outer rims. The tires on the coupes are taller, solid hard plastic. The roadsters come with shorter, rubber tires. I like the coupe wheels and tires better, so I bought a set and adapted them to the roadster. I lowered the front suspension while I was at it and added a license plate to the back. Otherwise, as offered by the factory. -TIM-

Chuck, that's cool!! I can easily imagine it at the end of the Famoso drag strip, in the runoff area. That strip in Bakersfield is out in the country. There's an annual car show with similar rods for the March Meet.

Hmmm......second guess would be Aurora/Monogram Maserati 3500. 😀

Very nice! Those wire wheels look like Aurora (Monogram) XKE? Proportionally just right for the Rambler.

Looks cool, Geno! 😃

Thank you, Gary! Yeah, I think these have been around for awhile. There's also a nice cream / pale yellow colored version with fairly bright green interior and wheels. That matches one of the factory offered color schemes. I'd like to get one in those colors but haven't seen anything but the silver version recently. The B24 has really nice lines. The Leo Models line in general have very crisp castings, great fit of opening doors, hoods, etc, very accurate representations of the subject matter. The chassis and suspension are quite modest, not much detail, but overall they're pretty nice. I like that they cover unusual subjects compared to domestic offerings in the US. I enjoy blowing them apart, detail painting interiors, going over silver painted trim with a Molotow pen, improving wheels and tires, etc. Occasionally I'll repaint the body too if it's not in good shape or I really want a different color. A couple times I've color sanded and polished them if the paint was too wavy or something. They're fun. 😃

Helmut, thanks for sharing. I have the D50. Really nice! You're tempting me to get a Sharknose 156. I've always loved that car. I think I'd change the wheels though, probably with some of Jason's Borani prints. 😀

Great minds think alike, Helmut! 😄

1/24 Leo Models 1954 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spyder Wheels: Hatchette Pegaso Z102 narrowed, with knock-offs from a Heller Alfa Romeo 1750 Zagato. Tires: Spec Cast ’32 Ford Interior: Repainted from pinkish shade of red to dark green with dark green flocked carpet. Chrome: Molotow used for the windshield frame and tail light bezels. HVAC chrome duct tape for the rocker moldings. These B24 Spyders tend to sit a little high in the nose, so I set the model’s ride height to match. The disk wheels and hub caps it came with were perfectly fine, I just like the car even more with chrome wire wheels. The knock-offs from a Heller Alfa are about the right size, and proportional to the wheels, as compared to the full size Lancia. I know, they’re BIG, just like the real thing. Enjoy!

1/32 Airfix 1933 Alfa Romeo
Hoffman replied to Gluebomber's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Larry, the thing about a really nicely done model with good photographs, is that it becomes difficult to tell what scale it is. Your Alfa Romeo fits that description on both counts. Looks great!! 😃 -
Well done, Matt!

Surfing for Aston Martins this morning and came across this excellent example from 10 years back. Awesome!

Bob, this is off topic, but I noticed your pale green Chevy pickup in the background. What brand of paint and color name is that, please😃?

MPC Flip Nose '57 gasser converted to......well, a gasser.
Hoffman replied to roadhawg's topic in Drag Racing
Tommy, your '57 is Awesome! Immediately made me think of a similar Pontiac powered '57 I saw at Famoso..... https://barnfinds.com/amazing-1957-chevy-gasser-find/ -
Not sure who designed those. Someone in Japan has a set for sale at a very steep price. I've pasted a link and photos from that evilbay listing below. Alternatively, sometime next year there may be a far better alternative from Jack Modelling. It's a future project on Jason's to-do list. 😃 It should be something similar to what was offered through Shapeways in the past, but at a much more realistic price.
