  1. No actually I haven't I inherited a broken glue bomb ...after seeing your Street T.. I just ordered it from my local hobby shop...(always support local)
  2. Thanks for the suggestion..I think that's what I'll do...
  3. The sole complete survivor of the three I own ....Decals had dried out on the sides so I held them over a humidifier which sort off softened them up and I was able to gently pat them back in place..One side shows more cracks though... glued back the parts that have fallen off ...painted a few details... not bad after 45 years ...I'll post under glass with the box art when I take a few more pics...
  4. Well, it looked good when I took it out of the box then the 45 year old glue fell apart.... I had only built the rail dragster for display when I was a kid. I did not like the looks of the Dart so it remained untouched in the box. Somehow though the decals are not in the box...I have to figure out what to do... the plastic wire wheels seem to be getting soft maybe a reacion over time with the rubber tires. I used the wheels from my Pinto Crazy Horse to replace them though they are a little smaller... I have popped it all apart and glued it back together..... it begs a question though as with the other models I am resurrecting do leave them as done or detail them plugs etc...? If I find the decals I will paint it lik the box art cover though just the red I now like the gold plastic it almost looks metallic...
  5. My first post as a new member....I dug out my old collection that seems to have suffered from being (over 45 years) stored away....The Pink Panther was sprayed with clear which has yellowed. It looks peach colored. I began by stripping that off and was happy to see her all pink again!! The frame seems lacking in detail but after some research it is pretty close to the Oldsmobile Toronado which it is based on. What you see is basically it with the motor in front.. I have rebuilt the engine, have to work on the drivetrain but will add exhausts and the shock absorbers for the rear suspension to add some detail...and a stearing wheel..yup it didn't come with one... and I realise an anomoly in the plastic (show later)..I don't think I will spray clear it again maybe read up on how to polish the plastic... I am actually working on about a half dozen resurrections and I had forgotten how much pleasure it was to build...
  6. Beautiful work on the diorama...it actually is similar to my actual garage....with an MGB instead of the Nova....
  7. Great job and color combo... I inherited the Tom Daniel version of this...the Sweet T (glue bomb)
  8. Congrats very very nice work... I have just started taking mine out after 45 years and this is what I want to attempt...thanks for the inspiration...Gotta love those Tom Daniel creations...
  9. Thanks for the words of welcome.. can't chat glue setting .....designs to create.....back to the bench LOL!!
  10. In the Montreal area . I just dug out my old models which have fallen into disrepair. I haven't done any model building in 45 years... I don't have all of them anymore...(luckily they seem to have been re-issued) but I do seem to have some that I have read are considered the Holy Grail.... I have to figure out do I want to touch up and rebuild or re-do entirely....then again should I detail the undercarriage suspension etc which was sorely lacking on the PinK Panther Eldon Show car....for example ... anyway it seems to be a great site and I have seen some super fine examples...I will post some pics soon....I am pleased I found this forum...
