What did you see on the road today?
89AKurt replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
For my return home from Desert Scale Classic, wanted to take the back way. I saw an ambulance ahead of me, then came around a corner and saw this. I haven't seen a report yet, must have been a fatal, had to turn around. I see many cool cars around town, never ready to snap a picture. Jaguar XK-150? (side note, those milled recessed reflectors make great potholes later after prolonged wet weather) Today I drove the Chino Valley to Jerome narrow gauge railroad (1894 - 1920), a very rough road. Since this thread says "what did you see" I think it counts. 😜 -

I was visiting in WA, stayed at an Airnb and watched Netflix with family. I don't watch TV, and do not keep track of the latest movies, so I got a whole years worth in one week. 'Wheelman' was interesting, totally filmed within a car, no sets at all. 'Idiotacracy' was funny, kids said that Crocs were props made for the movie, and look what happened.

It was just yesterday that I flew back from Bellingham WA, on Southwest no less, got my Will done before flying up. I hate flying, the only part I like is looking out the window.

Technically not "on the road", but think it's worth sharing. I couldn't take a picture of a Tesla painted fluorescent Hunter Orange. At Mt. Baker WA ski area, I always dug the Snowcats, imagine building a model of that! On the Mt. Baker Highway, one of those hoarders who has NO TRESPASSING, CLOSED signs. -
Fuzz Therapy is about 18 years old. I never saw her sprawl out like this! This winter I have been using the little piece of carpet to kneel on when tending the fire. She has become possessive of that. Now she demands I get a fire started in the evening. 😅

Saw this the other day, noticed they are from Alaska! Looks like a cool camper, never saw one before. -
I have so many irks going on it isn't funny. My biggest one is dealing with the water system in my neighborhood. I'm on the the water district board, going on 8 years. This subdivision was built by a crook in 1964, "wildcat" developers back in the day would low bid build with almost no regulations by the State or local jurisdictions. He ended up being convicted for fraud, and died in prison. So we have had leaks, and we never get caught up, we lose about an acre foot a month. I discovered a leak last week, and it's becoming a cluster you-know-what. Looks like the bridge was built over the main, massive leaks have been found, but it's also *under* the bridge, so the Manager is having to figure out how to re-route this section. On top of that, we are having weather, so it's getting real fun for the contractor. I just got a new GM 350 crate engine in Blue Cloud. It's running fine, but there is a coolant leak at the thermostat and hose connection, so leaks leaks everywhere!!! Mine should be easy to fix.
