The Pegasus " Astros" are nice but they are way too deep. I used a Dremel, CAREFULLY, to grind away the outer-most part of the rim, then used the AMT thin line tires.

The pinstripe decals are from various kits.

    Go Green '59 El Camino
Old reissue from the late 80's. Grille, seat and "eyebrow" filler pieces donated from the Revell '59 Impala kit. Modified Pegasus "Astros", posable steering. One piece sheet plastic bed cover. Tamiya candy lime green, Testors Wet Look clear and lots of polishing.

  10. Lyle Willits added a post in a topic '29 Sedan Delivery

I wish I knew my post was moved here before I thought I was nuts and posted it twice in "Under Glass" because when I went back it was gone. I was trying to figure out who, at this magazine, did I p---- off.

    '29 Sedan Delivery
Not one of my best, by any means, but the HOBO shop truck is finished. Flinstone body, AMT frame and fenders, spare parts from everywhere, Revell Olds engine, roaster wheels, '61 Impala tailights.

  13. Lyle Willits added a post in a topic 32 Ford Sedan Delivery Bodies

Art, I'm well aware that Ford made '32 sedan deliveries. They marketed approx.400 of them after they were modified from tudor sedans. I mastered a sedan delivery for Reps and Mins. What I said was THESE ARE NOT SEDAN DELIVERIES

I'm sorry but they are not sedan delivery bodies. They are phantom bodies, as no such '32 Fords were built that way.

We are VERY glad you had a good time at our show. I do have to say, however, that the word "immensity" has probably never been used in describing our show. Our NNL is one of the smallest model car shows in the country. We had 175 paid attendance and 435 models. By comparison, NNL EAST most likely has that many people and models 5 minutes after the doors open.
I hope all who attended had a good time. I believe the vendors all did well also. Look for our 2014 show on the SECOND Saturday in May next year. Next year's themes will be "50 Years of Mustangs" and "57 Chevys vs. '57 Fords".
