Got my roll cage figured out today. I’m just using the main hoop and the back part of the cage from the nascar kit along with some more modern seats from the parts box that will need to be raised up due to the fact the nascar chassis has a very low floor.
Also got the gto body into primer and have found quite a few problems with it so I’m considering doing a ratty and rust patina look with mix mached body parts to give it even more of a sleeper look.

Your wish has been granted, or at least, soon will be:
AMT 1256 -- Ford Monster Truck - Hot Wheels
Awesome! Thanks for the update will definitely be getting one.

Haven’t made much progress on the GTO but I did order a couple clearly scale LS engines that I’m going to rob the supercharger off one of them for the NASCAR engine so I should have over 1000 hp at my disposal.
I have also been messing around with the interior and have decided to delete the NASCAR roll cage and will be doing a simple 5 point roll cage with the gto dash and two bucket seats from the parts box.

Now you're talking! Two-Lane Blacktop with a Nascar hiding under GTO sheet metal ???
Just make sure the driver tells the truth about what he has under the hood! ???
Yeah it’ll probably get some sort of forced induction hiding under the hood......
I got it mocked up after a little trimming.

I’m building a 1969 pro modeler dodge Daytona with two 426 HEMI’s put together as a 852ci V16 backed up by a 4speed and Dana 60. It will be biult as a land speed/dodge prototype mythical monster that could probably make close to 1000hp and 1000ft/lbs of torque (my hp-torque figures are only mythic and my not be correct)

It is an amt 94 Ford lightning but decided I wanted to do it a little different and I have already started building a 7.3 diesel using a 460 block. I know they never made a regular cab short bed half ton diesel but I want to biuld it like a truck that could have came from the factor as a special edition truck that I have named Thunder.

Ouch!
How does a spark plug shoot out of the cylinder head with no apparent thread damage? It just slowly unscrews itself?
I’m not 100% shure yet how it came out. Ot isn’t uncommon for a triton ford motor to shot a spark plug out due to the aluminum heads with not much threads for the spark plug. I have only had the truck for 1-1/2 years and when I bought it it had just got all the plugs done but I have heard that some times people can’t get the back two plugs torqued and will come loss and thread itself out (I’m hoping that that’s all it is)

I would like to jump in and biuld the square body chevy from what appear to be two different movies, terminator and nightmare.
The truck in Terminator.
the truck in nightmare.
I know now there are some differences between the two truck but I am unable to decided what way I want to do it right now. I will be using the useable parts from 3 different somewhat started, old biuld revell gmc plow truckand other random parts that I have (if that’s ok)
ps: dose anyone know if the truck is a long box or a short box? I can’t tell form the picture I can find.

The Great thing about the Movie Car theme is that you wont be limited on drivetrain as long as it doesn't alter the appearance as screen used. An LS Powered Bandit Trans am would be Awesome to see in the running.
Also, I was looking back and refreshing my memory on past CBRs and there has been a voting poll with the theme choices. I was just gonna give it 10 days and count the ideas... the ideas with the most "Yays" I would go with... but If we need that voting poll I'll have to get help from someone who knows how to set it up or maybe give me directions on how to go about it... Thanks
Ok then you can count me in for movie cars then.

I have wanted to biuld myself a 30s Ford but I haven’t been able to pick how I want to biuld it so I decided to biuld 3 different 30s Ford’s in 3 different styles.
The first is the new AMT 1934 Ford pickup that will be biult as a period corect hot rod/shop truck with a supercharged flathead.
The second is a revell 1931 Ford that will be biult as a rat rod siting on a revell 1930 Ford model A frame with a 1950 Oldsmobile motor.
the third is the revell 1932 Ford that has been channeled. It will be biult as a modern style hot rod with an LS.
Comments welcome.

I like the movie car idea. Here are some ideas that I have.
small block chevy (you cans build any car but it has to have a sbc)
LS (you cans build any car but it has to have a LS)
pre 1960s technology ( everything that you use for the biuld has to be something that was around before 1960.

Two days of teaching myself how to tig weld and I’ve already started to lay down some nice looking welds on mild steel.
This last picture was how the first hour of learning to tig turned out before I realized I did have my gas turned on....
