I’m drooling over those 65’s

Any word on the 66 yet?

It would have taken me a year to get as far as you have in less than a month!

You certainly can;t be accused of not being persistent or being one to take the easy way out!! Wow! That's a huge amount of work. Just wondering why you are fixing this cab instead of just using a new one? Or am I missing something here? My hat is off to you for taking the time and effort to save the cab - sometimes, it's a matter of principal on a project like this - save as much of the original kit as possible just to prove to yourself that you can do it. As John Wayne once said, "Sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do".
well, I don't have enough money to buy a whole new kit just to rob the cab, and also, it's the cab out of a star truk kit, even though I had to remove the F350 super camper special logo on the fender, it still is one of the star truk cabs.

can't wait to see it all together!

It's looking great, can't wait to see this once everything is done, it will look great!!

It's been a while since I've updated this, I lost interest in it for a while, so now I'm back on it, I made a lot of progress, the cab is nearly completed, and I've started working on the bed, and I figured out a better way to make the interior bedsides attach better to the bed floor, before there was just three tiny tabs, now there are two big pieces I made from sheet shock, way better this way in my book.

Saw it while coming home from visiting Mom at the hospital, it's an '82 factory 5.0l and T-Top car that was converted back in the late 80's under license and has never seen the salty roads of a Midwestwern winter. It even has a whole bunch of sounds that both KITT and KARR would make and the KITT sounds were actual William Danials (also well know as Mr. Feeney in the Boy and Girl Meet World tv series) sound tracks that were activated via pushbutton or in trying to enter the car, with the alarm system.
nice!!

Looking forward to seeing some more progress on this thing, I've wanted to do something like this for a while now, but money, time, and skill have got in the way.

It's really starting to come together now!!

?#2, What to do with the Purple stuff when done? Figured that out myself, amount used vs amount purchased insignificant, @ $ 5 / Gal. at Walmart, down the drain it went.
I usually keep mine, until it gets so diluted it's no good anymore, then I refill the container.

The casting looks great, now I gotta find a way to scrounge some cash up to get one of these for myself once it comes out!

There was something on TV the other day about Junior but I missed it. I think the intro was about his moonshine hauling days.
Richard
it was probably the americarna episode about him, that's the only thing I can think of

Nice!!
love the color!
Did you do anything to the windshield to get the sides to go in correctly? I've been fighting this for weeks now on mine.
-
SWEET!!!
glad to see you doing more of these, I've been wanting to do a 64 galaxies Holman and moody race car, this will definitely help!

Got an e-mail from Dave Natale (AITM) late this afternoon. He has received the IH and will do some study of it with the hope of beginning the mold tomorrow! Will let you see what becomes of it as soon as I can.
great to hear!

Wish we could get some of those in 1/25-24 scale.
same, also, nice build
-
Thanks.... Scott....I started with a 1/8 scale Revell /Monogram 32 FORD highboy hot rod. the rest is kit bashed and scratch built.
I finally got the body painted right- so should have some updates soon.............................................
all I've seen is the convertible deuce, is it a resin body or something?

I can't be the only person who is excited about the 1950 pickup being reissued, to me that means, I won't have to get one off eBay, and I can get one from my local Michael's, because they carry a lot of round 2 products.

Looks great! Glad I could help you find the right tires!
