  1. Hi, a couple of days ago, I went to my local store. They had only about 8 kits and no Spray cans. My wife and I went to another store and they only had 1 kit and again, no spray paint. are they discontinued?

As a side note, walmart had all their spray paint (Krylon) locked up behind glass. A lady said they had to do that in different parts of store Lego,bb guns, pet flea stuff, etc...

  2. Hi Michelle, nice build on this Bird. I was the proud owner of one in the "70s. Actually, my mom bought it as the insurance was to much if I bought it. It was orange i color and black interior. It had a 440ci with three two barrels. Six barrel, not Six Pack. It was a daily driver and we had it for 8 years and put 128k miles on it. It was stolen out of our driveway, never recovered.

Your build has been done very nice.

How long have you been doing models, and how old are you. If you are young, your skills are well beyond your years.

    Thanks, George

  3. Hi, yes, I will post pics when I clean some up. Also, I will post some with the dust.

He won some awards in the Northeast. His name is Neal Weber. He served in the Air Force and worked in some missile silos where he fell and broke his neck. He did recover, although his movement was limited and had a stiff neck and back.

Great guy and fun to talk to !! His stories were at times scary an to what went on in the sixties.

    Again, thanks to all !!

  4. Hi everyone, I have inherited about 50 old car models from a neighbor. They are all built. They were kept in his garage for years and have about 20 layers of dust on them. HAHA !!!

I have thought of using a damp brush on them.

Can anyone suggest another method of cleaning them up. They were built in the 60's and 70's using a brush and a lot of polishing on the bodies. They are shinier than I can get with spraying.

    Thanks, George

  5. Hi, my first time with Funny Cars was at Miami-Hollywood Speedway Park. It is now defunct. Making way for condos.

Anyway, it was between Terry's Seaton Super Shaker and another car with an Allison engine. The night did not last long as the Allison made a run and tore up the Asphalt with two ruts all the way down the strip. They had to close the strip and we spent the rest of the night in the pits. I was hooked from then on. I don't know the name of the Allison car.

Top say it was impressive was an understatement !!!

  6. Repeating TV commercials!!!

I know the Marketing that if you see a commercial more than once, you are more likely to remember the ad. I just find it annoying to have to see the same one 2 or even 3 times in a row. The on that is most prevalent is the one by AT&T with Lily on the plane. See, it works !!! There are others and they are just as bad.

    Anyone finds this bad??

  7. Hi everyone, I am more sad than irked. I looked forward to seeing new posts on the laugh thread. It saddens me that a few people that can't follow the rules takes the fun and pleasure from the rest of us. my suggestion if you unlock the thread is to make it clear to everyone that posts will be deleted if found to be against the rules. The poster will be told why it is bad. They should be given a certain amount of violations and told where they stand. If they don't comply, then ban them from forum. Then, a few bad apples don't spoil it for everyone. I don't care who it is or how many posts they have.

    What are your thoughts, mods?

    Just my 2 cents worth.

  8. The worst car I had was a 77 Grand Prix. Bought it used. Ran fine for a year or so, then started having problems. It would just stop running while driving it. I was on I-95 in Miami and it just stopped. Luckly, I was in the right lane and able to get it off. Had it towed to a dealer. They took off the gas tank and checked the fuel lines and electrical. They could not find a cause. I drove it to a Dodge dealer and got a great deal on a Charger 2.2 Demo. Ran it for 22 years and over 155K miles on it. What a great little car.

  9. Hi Michael, make sure to clear your camera pics. Your going to need the space. Please take a lot of pics for us to see. It has a ton of great cars to shoot. I went there a long time ago with a film camera (before digital) and ran out of film. 7 rolls of 36 exp.

    Most of all, enjoy it.

    George
