You guys might want to check out Hobby Lobby again because I picked up a couple of the pick ups for 5.97 last thursday.

The best place to get quality aftermarket parts is a company called replicas and miniatures of maryland. They do not have a website, but I am sure that some one here can give you the fotki address so that you can see some of the parts that they offer. You can google the company for contact info to request a catalog.

    ###### Biggs, who the hell are you sleeping with at Big Lots because I am there ###### near every week and I cant find one kit let alone that huge stash you have! BTW, Nice score and I love your builds.

This stuff works great, I found it at Lowes. The thing that makes it so good is that it is not harmful to skin so use can use it to remove paint from your hands.

Hello! I was wondering if John was home and if he is still working on that beautiful motorcycle? Can't wait to see some updates! Keep up the good work.

Paul, that is one sweet looking Del Ray. I started one in the same color scheme, only mine's is half as cool as yours. Great build. Hope to see it finished soon

I know most of the guys here have a passion for the purple stuff, but I have used brake fluid for the last five years or so. It will not warp the body as I have left many of my bodies in the dunk for months at a time with no problems. Now that I think about it, everything that I have started has found its way into the fluid. Even though I'm using brake fluid I can't seem to stop putting them in the bucket.

Ron, that is one fine looking build you got yourself there. The tail and back up lights look awesome in the pictures, it sure is better then the chrome ones.

Thanks gentlemen, I have some of the professional green masking tape, but I was being very frantic about trying a new (to me) paint technique making paint stencils out of plain index cards. I was designing the patterns of the index cards, then cutting them out and tracing them onto the tape. I would them apply the tape and paint. So far it is turning out pretty good except for the tape residue.

I Goofed And Used Cheap Masking Tape, Now What?
ok guys, so I am building a low rider with an intricate paint pattern. I know better but I did it anyway, now I need to know how to remove tape reside without messing up the paint I have applied thus far. Thanks for the help in advance.

Great Job John, that bike is looking killer. By the way, what size tubing are you using for the frame, and handlebars?

I am thinking 1/8" for the frame, and 3/32" for the handlebars. Am I even close? Thanks for the help!

Ratrod, there are many talented builders here on this site, but you are one of the builders that I am always eager to see with new topics. I am so inspired by the work that you are doing with R/M choppers that I ran out and bought a bunch of the kits. One day I will actually get the guts to take a razor saw to them. None the less, this project bike is just as impressive as all the other ones you have blessed us to view. Keep up the great work.
