Nice work on the wheels!

Here are some earlier cars. 1891 Panhard, 1893 Duryea, 1895 Panhard Coupe, 1877 Seldon Horseless Carriage.

The wheels on the original car were wood with iron treads, just as on a horse draw wagon.wagon.

Four inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches high at the back of the seat.

1895 Duryea, 1/25 scale, resin casting manufactured by Genesis2Scale LLC, Tampa, FL in 2010. Very porous casting that took a lot of filling and sanding. This is the only model produced.

Here are my oldest survivors from 1953. Gowland and Gowland started manufacturing plastic models in 1/32 scale. I jumped right on these as I had been attempting to build the wood Hudson Miniatures. I stopped building them in 1954 when the prices went up to $1.25 per model which was the 1915 Ford Center Door - the last photo. At that time I was working after high school for $0.75 per hour. I packed them in a box that moved with members of my family until 1978 when they returned to me. In 2003 I started building models again and have a complete set of G&G vehicles.

The scales vary from 1/28 to 1/16. Hudson Miniatures (wood models), Tin Lizzy Crafts (wood), Missing Link, Revell, Fador Smallsters(wood), not necessarily in that order.

1923 Ford Model T Fire Engine 1/24 scale wood kit manufactured by Tin Lizzie Crafts, Wiscasset, Maine in 1986.

They made 2 cylinder cars starting in 1907 and introduced 4 cylinders in 1910. Here is a photo of a 1910 IH roadster with "high wheels", actually wagon wheels.

Some carving a lot of forming and sanding. Parts are made of solid wood, sheet wood, wire, card stock, cast wheels (plastic or white metal), and styrene if the card stock doesn't work. Old card stock sometimes does not take super glue.

I drive a 1977 Jeep Cherokee

1909 E.M.F. Three in Oner, a 1/16 scale wood model manufactured by Fador Smallsters in 1949. The model could be built, as shown left to right, as a Roadster, One Seater, or Tourer.
