Thanks for posting Tom, we were pleased that you could make our show.  A pleasure meeting you and Micheal and congrats on taking home some memories and awards to both of you.

I too use the old spoon test, besides providing a great couple of surfaces, you can also write the combos you are trying on the handle.

Some of the calipers we sell at Grainger, have a decimal to fractional conversion listing on the back.  Some but not all.

Hey modelers any tips on painting the hubcap centers on the new Tamiya Mercedes 300SL.
The center of the chrome cap is to be body color with the iconic Merc. emblem still chrome. They offer decals for the emblem but would like to save the actual chrome one. Thanks for looking.

Tamiya newbie with a window masking question
Tamiya is great to include masks for painting window trim, my question for all y'all is, do you paint the inside or the outside of the plastic window. And do most of you spray or brush paint the exposed surfaces. Thanks for all responses.

Possible donor chassis for AMT Crew Chief?
Won this kit in a raffle, am thinking about a two wheel conversion. Do any of you have a suggestion on a way to do this? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

thanks alot John for the box art. I guess over the years I have shied away from those versions. Built some of the Pro Modeler and Revell releases.
    Appreciate the extra work.

Modelhaus/AMT question about 57 sedan delivery
Just picked up this resin kit and it says to use the ORIGINAL AMT 57 Chevy kit. I have had several incarnations of 57, what constitutes the Original. Better yet what does the box art look like ! If anyone has attempted this build I would appreciate any pointers you might want to share. Thanks to all responders.

Need tips for Pegasus wheels and sleeves.
First time trying to use Pegasus sleeves and they don't seem to slide over the wheels. Quite a bit of interference. What do you guys do to make the fit better? Thanks ahead of time for any and all answers.

Welcome Ernie, I'd like to invite you to come visit our LMCC model meetings, a very small group with some talented builders. We also put on the Derby Shoot out which will be held in July. We meet at Bob Collins Ford on the first and third Thurs. of each month. We also get a discount at Scale Reproductions. Any questions feel free to email me off the board.

Thanks for the Press and Seal tip, similar to my solution, I keep precut pieces of wax paper with my paints to do the same thing, works like a charm.
  13. twopaws added a post in a topic Any other musicians in the house?

I have played rhythm guitar with a couple of Old Timey String Bands, and now get together with a whole group of folks to play at some one's house. By far the most fun, better than playing in bands, jamming is the way to go. 1955 gibson LG-2 and a 1949 Kalamazoo (made by gibson) very vintage and very mellow.

One of Dave Koffel's early gassers was based on a 49 Packard. It ran F/G, I believe and was quite successful. It was one of the first Flintstone Flyers that came out of Dave's garage. I'd say Go For It!!!!
