Absolutely superb build.... -
Lovely build, I think I'd have chucked the towel in and closed the workshop for a while, I'm loving the colour scheme and may well use it for when I get around to building the Revell 57 Ford
-
That's the VW T1 Kombi kit coming in 2021 from Revell Germany, and yes, it's pretty much the Camper version with interior changed and a non Camper roof panel. Most T1 Campers started life as a Kombi.

It seems that Revell are going through the back catalogue of classic German tractor manufacturers, and they have plenty to choose from.

Revell London Bus
GeeBee replied to Wolfangel's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Some Routemasters had, like the Revell model, had frames fitted to the body, some didn't, but in each case the advertising posters were simply glued onto the body, obviously ones that have been restored use self adhesive vinyl, originally they would have been thick paper with a varnish brushed over them to protect them from the weather. -
It helped when I used to own the vehicle it was based on....

Looking forward to seeing this one progress, I've got 3 of these, every time I think about starting one, I chicken out, there's still a few original Routemaster buses working in London, on routes 9 & 15. -
The pre-order discount and the offer of the free wheels will be applied until the transkits are ready to be shipped, which are planned for the end of January 2021, so you should be OK.
-
Chris is now working on wheel sets for the MGB, customers that have pre-ordered will be contacted and offered a set free of charge, these are the one's he's working

Looking forward to seeing this one progress, my Dad worked at Jensen, where the bodyshells were produced before they were transported to Abingdon for them to be built up.

Yes, it's a thin (aluminium) skin held off the main roof panel with spacers, it let's air pass through between the two, inside there's 4 vents that can be opened to let the air in.
