    Great work Mark!

    Another great build
  3. #11 Mountain Dew Buick

I really like this!!, Great attention to detail.
  4. 1972 Bobby Allison (Finished)

I posted progress pics a few weeks ago but now I’ve finally finished. Overall I’m pretty happy how it turned out. If I could go back I would have fitted the upper roll cage under the roof better. It’s about an 1/8” too short but you get what you get with these AMT kits, next time I’ll know. Also after seeing another post about the split air cleaner, I know what I have isn’t correct but I can live with it. Hope you enjoy and please critique away. (Only way I’ll learn anything for the future)
  5. folgers color

I think this would be a close match: Testors gloss dark red https://www.scalehobbyist.com/catagories/Paint_and_Construction/dark-red-gloss-enamel-spray/TES00001204/product.php?s=3&t=1&u=0&micr=769&pg=1&ppp=48&sb=stocknumber&so=a&p=2&co=1
  6. Skoal Classic

Another great build, always liked that car.
  7. folgers color

Here is the link to the Hex and RGB numbers. Now how to match that to a model paint color I haven’t found yet but I’ll keep looking but at least this is a starting point. http://www.colourlovers.com/color/CC0247/Folgers_Coffee_Red
  8. Buddy Baker

    Beautiful car Coyote
  9. Dave Marcis 1995 Olive Garden MC

Thank you sir, I remember the one thing I was unhappy about was the bleed through under the door numbers. Could have been the manufacturer I used or this may be the case with any of them using white over the red and green. Only way may be to not paint under the number but I wouldn’t even want to think about getting all that lined up correctly.
  10. Dave Marcis 1995 Olive Garden MC

Built this back in about 96 or 97 when I was 18 or 19. It’s held up well with very little yellowing.
  11. 72 Bobby Allison WIP

Red layed down using Tamiya TS-49 rattle can.
  12. the Original Rainbow Warrior

  13. 72 Bobby Allison WIP

I appreciate that Dave... Hopefully the body turns out ok, I am always hit or miss on those paint jobs.
  14. 72 Bobby Allison WIP

Started this about a 2 months ago and wanted to gets photos posted before now but just never got around to it. I only get a few hours on the weekends to work on it so that’s why is slow going. Everyone who has build the old AMT kits knows certain areas leave a little to be desired. Some areas have decent detail where others have none. Fit is also not the best but overall it’s not too bad to build. I will be using PPP tires and wheels because the kits are just too skinny looking and the wheels are way too deep. Hopefully next week I can start on the body. Hope you enjoy! Started by removing the inner front fender wells

Really like this.. can’t beat the old ones.. every car has its own character.
