  1. I wish some manufacturer would use a stock body. Then, it would be easier to customize it properly. The flares used on all the different versions are nowhere near what was used back in the 70s. I have 3 of the new LUV models, for different build versions I saw back in the 70s, and it's going to take a lot of body work to get them to look like the customs I remember.
  2. I'd like to see more 70s stock bodied pickups and vans, especially the mini trucks, Datsun 620, late 70s Toyota, Ford Courier, Dodge D50 / Plymouth Arrow along with custom parts packs i.e. fender flares (70s style), sun visors, roof spoilers, louvered window covers for the vans, tubular style grilles, etc.
  3. It's starting to look like the flares that were used back in the 70s. I'm a big fan of 70s style mini trucks and vans and I never saw flares like the ones used on this model back then. I wonder what they were smoking when they designed this model? lol
  4. Will you be sharing any photos of the build? I'm planning on doing the same thing with the fenders but also make some fender flares like they used back in the 70s.
  5. It looks like I'm one of the lucky ones. All three of mine are in good condition.
  6. I plan on doing the same thing. I wonder if someone at Revell would be willing to explain the difference between this plastic and what was used before. Having that knowledge might make it easier to work with.
  7. I'd like to see more trucks from the 70s, especially the mid to late 70s.
  8. Can anyone point me towards a Trans Am model where the side vents on the front fenders were separate pieces? I just ordered some new Chevy LUV models and want to recreate one into a truck I used to see running around town back in the early 80s. The truck's owner had molded those side vents into the front fenders of the truck. It looked really cool.
  9. I'd love to have my 1980 Dodge D50 back.
  10. I may be wrong but they might be access holes to get tools into a certain area for repairs on the real vehicle. If they are you could drill them out, leaving the ring, for more realism. Please don't take my word for it though.
