  1. Axalta gets the clear on point ! Nothing like real automotive products to get that real automotive finish !!
  2. What’s the current lead time ? I really want a postal Jeep in the collection ....
  3. Working on the interior while I wait for the decals to fully dry . The Axalta clear doesn’t like moisture ....
  4. Decals going on .... the microsol is having no effect on them at all . Having a bit of a time getting them to settle down around the seams and locks tightly .
  5. On to the next one ..... pulled this out of the stack .... cleaned up the mold lines , assembled the chassis in prep for black ...
  6. For what it’s worth , I’ll take a complete kit if need be ... plenty on hand to make it worthwhile for someone ....
  7. Could be , but I’m not spending 10$ in plastic for a small part ....
  8. Cracked open a sealed kit from 1992 to find its missing a spindle. 13L on the tree. Can’t finish the build without it. Comes from any of the Silverado, stepside ,454ss kits of the era 13L is the piece I need . Lots to give up for one . My build is on hold ..
  9. And of course , I open a sealed kit to find missing parts .... anybody got a spindle ? 13L is the one I need ..
  10. Figured the decals have had enough time to set , so it was wel and good to lock them under some Axalta 496 clear coat .... like glass right off the gun ..... only minor polishing will be required ...
  11. If 12 year old me knew what 36 year old me knows now about this kit , I never would have built this kit the first time I owned it .... now I have a chance to get it right... Axalta black basecoat , decals applied with micro set . I bombed the application of the tailgate decal , but somehow I managed to save it with about 20 minutes of unfolding with a blade and lots of water . The decals were barely useable . I’ll let them sit to dry for a day or so and follow up with Nason 496 clear ...
  12. looking for the cab visor and bed faring from this kit . Need several of each, will take a complete kit if I have to . Lots to trade ....
  13. Aah yes , here we go .... the 1st place 2009 heartland dio .... I didn’t think it was that great compared to others on the table , but I’m not a judge ....as you can see it’s a tight fit with tools and an american car in there .
  14. That is exactly it. They include either corner posts for two corners or they have a connector that allows you to slide in the plastic wall panels to make a continual wall between two bases. I’ll have to see if I can dig up my photos from heartland nationals I took first place one year using one of those and a 61 impala
  15. Super easy on the 67 , you have a lot of open deck space for the hinges
  16. Ctmodeler is a solid dude ... kept me updated even after I’d given up all hope of usps actually delivering anything and quit following the box... perfect kit inside....
  17. Still looking .... let me be clear , I’m not looking to pay collector prices for a kit I have every intention of building . I’m sure you can see from my build threads that rare means nothing to me . I crack them open and build them all just the same ...
  18. You can see what I have up for grabs in my trade thread ...
