  1. This a rebuild given to me by a model friend. He purchased it at a swap meet it wasn’t too bad of a glue bomb. He put a quickie Earl Scheib paint job on it. Red & white as shown in pic. I soaked it in 91% alcohol and used a toothbrush. I got it fairly cleaned and I repainted. It’s sky blue Vallejo and rattle white top. Cleared with rattlecan. He also gave me the 56 nomad. It was rougher an so I’m using the best parts to complete the 55. I got some foil work done this morning. Tinting the windows wiring the engine and that’ll be all. I named it Huckleberry Hound.
  2. Thank you all for the compliments. Im glad it turned out how I had hoped for.
  3. I contacted him through Facebook. Steven Zimmerman or Zman wheels. Not sure how to search it. Those wheels are called “Bandit”
  4. Great color. Nice build. The drive shafts are a nice touch. I had same windshield roof cab issue with the Moebius ‘72 kit. It was built before I started reading these forums. I thought I had just got a bad kit. I did notice the box was stuffed full barely held all the sprues. Sucks to have such an avoidable problem. ?? Love all these Fords I’m seeing on here lately.
  5. The stance looks real good. I like the wheels. Cab lights and color reminds me the truck I grew up in. This one is really cool. Good job! ??
  6. I think the paint looks great. I love the color. Lots cool details. Good job!! ??
  7. Wow. That’s something you don’t see everyday. Love the big wide whites. Excellent looking! ??
  8. My latest finished model. Devil’s Right Hand.. AMT kit with some custom touches. I wanted to build something with a slick paint job. My last few builds have been rusty and weathered. This one turned out as good as I hoped for. I pushed my skill level on it for sure. lowered suspension; jimmy flintstone resin cab; LT1 vette motor; bucket seats, center console; tubbed the bed, model car garage wood bed kit, some bare metal work on hood n visor, smoothed firewall, scratch built tailgate chain and sheath, model car garage photo etched parts; ZMan Wheels 19/23, testors red pearl aztek paint, black Vallejo primer gives it a cooper tint. Clear coated it future clear at about 10 psi. I hope u like it & thanks for looking.
  9. Finished this morning. I’m going post more in the under glass section.
  10. A little progress. I shortened the chain. I think removing a couple of the links helped it look better. Also, it was 3/32” heat shrink not 1/32”.
  11. Looking good. I can’t wait to see where you go with this one. I’ll be watching closely.??
  12. I agree it’s a little big. I Picked this up in the jewelry making supplies at Walmart awhile back. I’m going to leave it for now. I may change it later, I’m cutting close on time to be at show Saturday. I do think the heat shrink helps the look though. I was at car show yesterday and took a couple of photos for reference.
  13. Got bed floor finished. Finished interior. Attached the visor to the cab without any mishaps. Very happy about that. Cleaned up rear window by making a new one. Added some details to bed side bolts. Used a black wash on the panel lines around door. I’m planing to spray future with my airbrush on all body, cab and bed floor. I got one side of the tailgate chain completed. I’m fairly pleased with it. I used 1/32” heat shrink on the chain. What do you guys think? Does it look to far out of scale?
  14. Bed tubs were made from a pill bottle. Used a model car garage wood bed floor. I went with red mahogany stain. I’ve got to finish the four remaining bed strips and clear coat the entire thing.
  15. This is my first experience with resin parts. Its not much different. I clean well with Bleech White to remove any of the release agents and I trimmed up excess flash from headlights openings, window and fender openings. sanded the entire part prior to primer. the Resin appears to be a harder material than styrene however I've not not much different to work with overall. Thanks for the compliments and encouragement.
  16. Oh ya the name of this truck is “The Devil’s Right Hand”
  17. Started this build couple weeks ago. Trying to get ready for a show on the 20th. jimmy flint stone resin cab chopped top. zman wheels, lt1 motor from vette kit, bucket seats, console. got it in paint last weekend.

  19. That is a great idea. I will pick some up and have it handy. take the pressure off me to make a perfect cut! ha ha
  20. I think Im going to try to cut the molding trim from the top part of the windshield then remove the necessary amount of flat surface reattach the trim and make it fit the Resin cab opening. It will be slow, tedious and delicate I'm sure.
  21. I’m currently building a 1950 Chevy using the AMT kit, however I’m using a resin cab with a chopped top. What I’ve come upon is that I don’t have a clear glass to fit the chop top cab. my question to anyone who can help is what suggestions or advice do you have for this chop top windshield, modify the standard kit one, scratch build one, or is there a resource to purchase from? any help would be appreciated greatly.
